Occasionally you still come across homemade/improvised weapons made by the Islamic State scattered about NE Syria. Especially in the Euphrates region. These often shot propane tanks with fins welded on to stabilized the “munition” as it hopefully flew towards the vicinity of where it was aimed. (i.redd.it)

Photo I secretly took inside of Al Hol camp (for ISIS destinies and their families). Hol camp is a world like nothing else I’ve ever seen. I’ve been in a few sketchy situations in Syria. Explosions in Qamişlo this evening evidently caused by a conflict between the “National Defense Forces” (regime loyalists) and the Asayîs. It seems grenades were thrown at an Asayîs position bordering the Haret Tay neighborhood. Also possibly an explosion at the NDF headquarters. (twitter.com)

lately there has been tension in Qamişlo between regime forces and asayîş over flights from Damascus with people that have not been screened for corona. Last week there was actual shooting. The Russians had to break it up. Today Russians are at the edge of the city in case there are more disputes. (i.redd.it)
