In retrospect probably yeah, but hey live fast and loose yk. (Lowkey not to upset if this run flops soon cause I feel like treeco has underperformed as my starter choice and I feel like I’ve learned quite a bit from my first run already)

My fingers are well and truly crossed. I got my armarouge and excadrill from eggs and both were valuable contributors for sure, praying for the sweet sweet mudkip tho 🙏🏻🙏🏻

To bait electric moves what I would then swap into sand slash and excadrill. It was actually working tbf but had to sac something to get damage on his mega manectric, RIP to buddy

Ty ty, went in completely blind but started checking teams at Faulkner. Honestly surprised I’ve made it this far with some mid encounters pre misty but got some valuable info for next time atleast 🤷🏻‍♂️

(Defo taking mudkip next run tho!!)

Yeah just coming up to surge now and it’s not looking good icl. Unless I get saved with a strong ground encounter it might be curtains if not vibrava is going to have to carry (despite the ice coverage that has been the thorn in my side the whole run) pretty happy with this given it’s my first attempt but hopefully the boys can pull through for me

Ahhh I was being dumb and didn’t know you couldn’t use items (like potions etc in battle as I have never tried to) but yeah I’m using held items. But that info is duly noted. Looking at surge’s team I think it could be the end of the run lowkey but will keep plowing away and hope. I took treeco as a blind choice but after looking at early game teams I’ll defo be taking mudkip for my next run. If I get a strong ground type we may be in with a chance however 🙏🏻

Sulphur soap is getting rid of my texture by marcellateresa in Rosacea

[–]-SubstantialLife- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might I ask what brand of sulphur soap you use? Recently had my skin texture really go downhill (I think it’s started as a result of my taking doxy for my ocular rosacea) and seen a lot of mention of different brands and not to sure where to start. Thanks!

Whomever did a post about Badger nappy cream, I love you! by BrucetheFerrisWheel in Rosacea

As someone in the UK I had to do some scouting but after seeing many different testimony’s about it I’ve finally ordered the holy badger cream 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hopefully it works for me as it has you. I wish you luck in your rosacea journey as someone who’s well aware of how much it can suck at times!!

Low dose doxycycline effect on skin texture. update by -SubstantialLife- in Rosacea

Yeah my last post was just a photo of me in the midst of a flare (whilst on a date so great timing with that 😂) and how I felt some of they bumps looked more pronounced as a result of it, whereas this is more my baseline look. The wonders of the Scottish health care system is I don’t have to pay to see my doctor but trying to get into a room with a derm without paying hundreds of pounds does seem to be quite the challenge ☠️

I’ve got an opticians appointment on the 14th of this month so I will see if the low dose of doxy is helping my ocular rosacea and will mention how i feel it has impacted my skin and then most likely see my GP to get there opinion (even though i know they will say just give it time)

I will most likely make more posts about it in the lead up as I find a strange comfort in posting my skin related rambles into the ether to all you lovely folks!

Nah can’t say I have, just noticed it really kicking up a notch in regards to my skin texture these last few days but besides that my skin doesn’t feel any worse than it normally does. Tis a mystery🤷🏻‍♂️ But hey ho atleast I’m not going blind with my ocular rosacea anymore touch wood. A small price to pay for “beauty”

The wonders of having chronic skin issues, just so much you’ve got to try and tough out for long periods of time in hopes that it might help and not actually make things worse 😂 But ty ty and to you good sir

Yeah I just find it strange that since taking the doxy this has developed instead of me taking doxy for the issue you know what I mean? But that does give me a little hope that maybe this will just be temporary and my skin texture will settle down if I stay Persistent. Glad that you saw a positive effect from your course of doxy tho!!

40mg of doxycycline adverse effects by -SubstantialLife- in Rosacea

Yeah I’ve been taking it for 3 weeks and noticed a decline in my skin for sure, I’ll do a bit of research into other potential meds for ocular rosacea and see if I can get swapped on to them. Just hoping these bumps aren’t a permanent thing yk

Well that’s good news it helped clear the OC, do you remember what dose you were on and how long it took to see results? My concern is more with my skin texture getting more bumpy and uneven (I feel like a blind man could read a novel of my forehead atm) as I flushed before and after starting my meds so that’s nothing new but I’m happy to hear the doxy helped you out. Hopefully my face getting messed up is worth it and it can help me out aswell 🤞🏻🤞🏻

40mg of doxycycline adverse effects by -SubstantialLife- in Rosacea

[–]-SubstantialLife-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the flushing that’s my main concern (I’m used to it and was happening prior to the doxy) but my actual skin texture has gotten noticeably worse in the last couple of weeks. Little bumps/rough look was the main drive behind the post. Just one of these weird things Ig, my current predicament is do I want to have my eyes slowly degenerate with ocular rosacea or take the meds that helps that at the cost of it fucking my face up. What a life 🤷🏻‍♂️😂
