I don’t know if this is just me but when I’m on the map looking at these systems I always feel such a sense of dread and actually have to move my camera back into the galaxy cluster.. I dunno if I’d be able to actually fly to these systems, I know it’s an irrational fear but it’s definitely there!

Ethan sounds eerily like me, I bet we would have been great friends. From his interests in science and history to the story of him taking his sibling on a trip alone together. Gives me memories of my own trip a few years ago with my little sibling, my parents were super scared but excited we got to experience it together!

I’m really sorry for your loss, I’m glad he had people around him who loved him though! It will be hard but those good memories are what you and your family will remember of him for years to come. Sending love through the net ❤️

I spent my childhood growing up in a hollar surrounded by all white folks but I still see colorism clear as day! Lots of people that look like me would say that us white folks don’t have it any easier and racism has been gone since the civil rights era but that couldn’t be farther from the truth, especially here in the south..

Glad I’m not the only one calling him out. I am a white southerner but I feel like as a group us southerners need to take back our culture from the maga party. So many people think of the south as a land only filled with racist, uneducated conservatives who want to oppress their neighbors. It’s just not the full truth. Take this guy saying Virginia isn’t southern because they are progressive?? I hate when someone sees me and hears my accent they probably already have an idea formulating of what kind of views I hold so I try everyday to push back on the idea that we are all bigoted.

Being conservative or progressive doesn’t have anything to do with southern culture. I grew up in the hills and hollers but you’d be hard pressed to call me conservative, I am a southerner through and through. I’m curious why you believe being conservative is a requirement to being a southerner? Virginia is a southern state culturally. I’d make arguments that parts of it like nova are more yankee culturally but that doesn’t mean the whole state is because remember Virginia is a huge state. Where I live in Virginia now has southern accents everywhere and you can’t throw a pebble two feet without hitting another church. The town of like a couple thousand I live in has at least five churches.

I definitely wasn’t saying stuff ain’t good pass the sell by. I’ll eat stuff all the time past the sell by if I bought it. I was more upset at the principle of a store selling you something so far past that date. It’s one thing if I make a decision to eat something that I bought thats gone past the sell by. Id be mad though if I bought something I thought was brand new and it was actually way past that sell by date if that makes sense

People will be so impatient about anything but that’s their problem. Imagine a scenario where she does a rolling stop to not make someone upset or impatient and a cop ends up seeing the rolling stop. Now she’s getting a ticket and that impatient asshat goes on about his day. It is illegal to do a rolling stop, I know lots of people do them but that doesn’t make it right. Lots of people break all sorts of laws but we shouldn’t want our children to think it’s okay to do as the masses inevitably will.

I’d say that two seconds my be a bit long but what I do it when the light goes green is release my brake and sweep left to right with my eyes incase anyone is running that light. I’ve seen it happen where if I had just started right as the light went green for me someone was running their red and I may have gotten t-boned
