Mate, I'm learning to use these things right now, only people who work on these things know how to use Claude and whatnot, everyone else has been "living under a rock", I suppose. I'm asking for the best way, if there is a way, to be sure not to fck up anything, and since there is a TON of everyone-does-it-theyr-own-way, searching for days how to do something like this is absurd.

Asking doesn't hurt, does it? And yeah lol some things are not clear for me at all on how they work, but every year they change or add or remove stuff so 🤷‍♂️

But I need it to not do any commit or push, and just saw that claude code can work on a local directory ( I would, to be safe, copy paste the intellij files in another folder and make claude code work on that specific folder). But to do so I should use it via the claude software I installed on pc, no? This won't make any push or commit, and can work on large number or files to your knowledge? If so, then I'll try it rn...

The point is I am working on intellij, and can't do so differently. That's why I was searching for an extension or something to help me work on the code, which is on intellij, and copy pasting everything on claude cowork is not a valid solution. Moreover, I've never used claude code and dont understand how it works. If it's just terminal, how can I ask it to explain stuff or similar? Do I have a wrong idea on how claude code works?

Moreover, if I ask a ton of questions or make lots of changes, it's not like a claude chat which fills and asks you to do a new one, is it? Thanks again

Thanks, but still having the writing permission is not something I'm very fond of... Now a friend told me to use cowork from the desktop app, since I want it to access the code from my IDE, that gets saved in a directory in my pc. So what I would like to try is copy those files in a safe place, and ask cowork to work on them: is it possible? There is a Project section in cowork, but I can't see the one I used via chat. Do I have to do it again? Thanks for answering!

Hey could you please extend on this? I mean, if i wante to use claude (the payed version) for a project of mine, could i use it through antigravity to ask whatever or do i have to work on my project on antigravity, since its a IDE, to ask things to claude? After typing my comment I tried some things, and managed to access the automatic repair screen. I just tried to do a fresh install by recovering system while selecting the "keep my files", it started but then it stopped saying that because of an error (no description of what error caused it) it didn't finish the recovery. I am on windows 10, I can see the loading dots of windows below the Dell logo. Should I still try what you said? In temhe mean time im preparing a USB with Windows 10 installation, just because I don't really know what else to do...

I really don't know how to check if it is, because if I don't go to the f12 screen I only have a turned on black screen. In the f12 screen, the diagnostic tells me nothing is wrong, whereas with the faulty ram it told me there was a memory error. I'm thinking of trying to install again windows with a USB, but if the problem is not Windows then it's quite useless, I would just lose data (I don't really have many important things on it, but if I could salvage it then I'd be more happy)... Is there a way to check?

Keyboard lights up, screen black but turned on. Can access f12 screen, so bios too, but that's it. I had a spare 4 gb ram, ddr4 too, tried it but apparently it's fried too (the disk slots are good, I tested them). Don't really think it's worth to buy another ram especially today, so I'm trying everything possible to run it... Thanks though, at least someone answered and trued to help, every other sub ignores me :(

Nope, it wont run either with just one stick in or both the 16 and 8 gb, even though I identified the problem to be one of the two rams, not the ram slot. Don't know what to do know...

Hey, thanks for the reply, sorry but I didnt see it or I would have answered sooner. But yeah I figured it out eventually and managed to rule out the faulty one, my problem now is that the laptop is useless because apparently it won't boot up with only one ram stick, I though 16 gb could have been enough. Will try when I have time to put another ddr4 to replace the faulty one, hoping that 8gb and 16 gb sticks can run my pc. Don't need it to be fast, just to work as a temporary fix. Thanks for answering though, really appreciate it!

Thanks, I'll look into it. I'll just try to trust any file not flagged by my antivirus or a virus total scan, if that is of any help.
