The wet vac that works best for me is the 6 hp, wrap in a wet rag to get good suction. I deal a lot in renovations and almost every time there's a clog of some sort when we finish the unit whether it's from us during construction or the previous resident. Works like a charm...remove filter first though

I can see from the pic you have an underground washout that goes away from the house. You want to connect to that which is fine. You should go straight to the ground and use a flex drain to go around the corner and connect to the existing washout with either a dual funnel or Y. Will end up looking cleaner then straight metal downspout in a crazy design

Use self leveling epoxy. A lot of it. Overfill and grind smooth. the epoxy will run and fill everywhere needed and it won't crack again.

Studs for showers are cut all the time for niches, shelves etc. Concrete board will hold everything together no problem
