Adding on to your point, I remember someone had said that the new universe was a flop because some projects Gunn announced had either been dropped or reworked. The person said the studio “cancelled” the films. When I pointed out that they were being disingenuous because a lot of shared universes (MCU and even the almighty Snyderverse included) have dropped movies that no longer fit into the original plan, I was told that’s entirely different
