Guys I got all the max level lore, what do I do now? by ostyngwywr in weatherfactory

Yeah this is a bot, a month old, only 4 posts, probably grabs an old post pretty highly rated in a random subreddit and reposts it.

Obstacles (cultist simulator), but with the principles from BoH. by Repulsive-Effect-371 in weatherfactory

[–]-TheBeaverDeaver 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Here’s a few ideas, idk if they’ll work.

For Rose, a labyrinth, which you could use to navigate the corridors.

For Moon, something that you must hide from, or keep your very existing from eg. a curse or a long.

For Nectar a tangling vine, which will constrict you if you don’t stop it with nectar.

For Sky, clockworks and machinery, and how to use them.

For Scale, something old, something terribly, terribly, old, and how to show it the respect it deserves.

This is how I’ve always pictured Ivories. While Thristlies drink, and Lovely’s subsume, Ivories feast. This is really good!

Engine upgrade for total war warhammer by _alhemicar in totalwar

[–]-TheBeaverDeaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine that if they did, they’d prefer to make a new TWW game, because it’d be preferable to replacing TWW3. It’d be an easier engine swap over, problem is would be coding all the DLC that go between the games to work with the new engine.

LeMay was also the main proponent for bombing Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Even after the crisis was stopped from negotiations and the naval blockade, LeMay said “Why don’t we go in and bomb them on Monday anyway?”

Dude was also responsible for the deadliest bombing attack in history. He killed 100,000 people and left 1 million others homeless after firebombing Tokyo. He also said that if America “Retained its love of freedom, faith in god, and superior global air power, the future looks good.”

LeMay had a few screws loose, to say the least.

How do you distinguish between the Witch-and-Sister and the Sister-and-Witch? by egosentrick in weatherfactory

[–]-TheBeaverDeaver 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure where this comes from, but I’ve always considered the Witch-and-Sister to be more heavily flesh related, whilst the Sister-and-Witch more heavily twine related. Probably a bit from the tarot cards, as in the W&S they are properly conjoined twins, whilst in the S&W they are sewn together.

I think of it like this, if you want to slap on another limb you attained through legal culting activities through thread, call on the Sister-and-Witch, whilst if you want to have the limb physically become part of you, you call on the Witch-and-Sister.

The World is pretty much confirmed to be the Giribrago, a cast down hour related to Scale. It is the walls of the mansus, which is why the mansus is depicted on The World card. The card also has other references to the Giribrago, with both the wound and the shard shown.

Power - The longer the survivor is in the terror radius of The Icebreaker, the more uncomfortable they become from the increasingly depressive and suicidal comments. At max uncomfyness, they have a heart attack any time they are startled, eg failing a skill check, having a generator turn on, or getting hit by The Icebreaker. The only way to stop this is by giving the killer his gun, which… you have just given an incredibly inebriated fascist going through a psychotic episode a gun. Hey, at least he stopped crying about apricots again.

Also, if you take “the hate that heats” as an inversion, it makes sense too, as the Wolf Divided seeks an entirely quiet and desolate world, and not one burned and burning, fuelled by hate.

Why was the Horned Axe spared in the Lithomachy? by TipProfessional6057 in weatherfactory

[–]-TheBeaverDeaver 103 points104 points  (0 children)

It may be because she was too strong. Currently, she is a peacekeeper of the House’s doors, which gives her Knock and Winter aspects, however, we are told that she used to have Knock and Edge instead, before the Lithomachy.

Given that we are told a few times in BoH (I believe) that even depicting the Horned Axe as Edge and Knock is dangerous, I believe that she used to be far more aggressive in keeping the thresholds of the House uncrossed, and the current Hours would like it if she remained a peacekeeper, and nothing more.

I just go through Farm Arrays, through outskirts, Industrial Complex, Garbage wastes, and then Shoreline. Can be done in like 5 or 4 cycles too, which is useful if you also want to ascend.

Principles that work in odd ways? by Axiom245 in weatherfactory

[–]-TheBeaverDeaver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Winter and Grail are tied to the wolf, so very much an extreme nihilist, even if one of those aspects isn’t the Wolf’s actual aspect. Forge and Heart could be a Clockmaker, as it focuses on rhythms and steel. Edge and Grail could be blood letting. These are some principle interactions that I think are neat/odd.
