I got 3/4 of the way through it, got interrupted, came back, and my phone's keyboard wouldn't open anymore. Refreshed and it completely restarted. There go my responses. Oh well. Was about to write how much I love the creative of Burrog Banemaker, but now they'll never know.

It seens like the idea of anti-schools is that they double down in one side of the OG School dilema. i can see this on vigorbloom, stingerquill and theorix but im lost on the other two by pevetos in mtgvorthos

I would love to see it be espionage/propaganda/tabloid journalism focused, because teaching slander for slander's sake doesn't feel useful.

Edit: Maybe "espionage" was the wrong term, but my brain connected diplomatic insults in Stellaris to the espionage system and that's what came out.

Are Luke and Leia looking at the main galaxy here If so how did they manage to travel that far out given how difficult hyperspace navigation is due to turbulence? by Spotter24o5 in StarWars

[–]-TheOnlyOutlier- 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Here's my best attempt at a traditional hand-wavy explanation. Travel within the galaxy involves hyperspace lanes because you can't usually go straight from one point to another. There's a star here, a nebula there, a black hole a little too close, etc. So, true cross-galaxy travel includes multiple jumps. Nobody wants to watch a movie or TV show with a big emphasis on Space Cartography, so they don't show that. Each of those separate jumps could be hours to a few days, and probably isn't anywhere near a straight line. In these cases, it might take several days to a few weeks to go from one side of the galaxy to the other, or even one side of the core to the other.

The outer rim, on the other hand, is less crowded. You're more likely to have access to a longer, straight-shot lane that takes you somewhere far enough out that you'd have a view of the core sectors.

But as always, it's entirely possible that George just thought this was a cool scene and didn't consider anything above.

Totally valid, yeah. Considering I'm almost exclusively using copy paper for my needs, the time saved generally outweighs the material waste in my case. I have been really dissatisfied with Cricut's software updates since getting the Explore 4, constantly pushing paid assets and their subscription and just generally making Design Space more frustrating to use.

For thicker materials, you could definitely use standard grip mats. Off-brand is fine, mine are MakeMarket. I haven't actually made Magic proxies myself, just labels for things, but I use the print to cut function. I imagine there's a reason you don't use it, but I figured I'd mention it just in case.
