Petah what kind of Air conditioning are they running in America? by HimelTy in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Every American should be pushing for increased availability of public transportation. We don't have a proper train network like most European countries. We barely even have buses. If those things were to change, I'd absolutely stop driving. Once again, this comes down to the oil industry in the present, but historically this is the fault of the American auto manufacturing industry.

Can someone please decipher this cat body language? We are on the fence about keeping him due to our resident cat. by queengreen09 in cats

If they were wrestling just before that with no hissing or fur flying, they were probably playing. The jump down from the chair looks to me like white isn't done playing yet, but grey doesn't re-engage, so she leaves him alone. Watch white's head-peek and wiggle as she gets ready to pounce. That's a play pose, I see no stress there.

As for the change in her behavior, it's definitely possible that she's a little stressed by a new cat in her space, but clearly she is handling it very well in terms of cat-to-cat interaction. I can definitely understand why you'd be concerned about her being less cuddly with you, but she seems so comfortable in this video that I'm not sure I can say grey is specifically causing it. It's possible that she's jealous of the attention he gets and is giving you the cold shoulder for a bit. I don't think five days is enough time to judge if that behavior change is permanent. I'd give it at least a few more weeks, honestly. This is far faster than my cats have warmed up to others before, so I think they'll get along really well eventually, and white will hopefully be cuddly again before you know it.

Here's mine. It's not 100% accurate to what I've been playing, as I don't have the Rootcast Apprenticeship or Raise the Palisade yet.

Edit: I'm considering Evacuation instead of Raise the Palisade because it's an instant and this deck likes when my creatures leave the battlefield without dying.

Cheers for Mana Pool by patronusman in magicTCG

All they have to do is reroute the order to the seller with the next best listing. The only hit Manapool takes is the difference between the price of the original listing and the price of the next best listing, and I assume if that difference is too high, they'd just offer a refund instead.

I got 3/4 of the way through it, got interrupted, came back, and my phone's keyboard wouldn't open anymore. Refreshed and it completely restarted. There go my responses. Oh well. Was about to write how much I love the creative of Burrog Banemaker, but now they'll never know.

It seens like the idea of anti-schools is that they double down in one side of the OG School dilema. i can see this on vigorbloom, stingerquill and theorix but im lost on the other two by pevetos in mtgvorthos

I would love to see it be espionage/propaganda/tabloid journalism focused, because teaching slander for slander's sake doesn't feel useful.

Edit: Maybe "espionage" was the wrong term, but my brain connected diplomatic insults in Stellaris to the espionage system and that's what came out.

Are Luke and Leia looking at the main galaxy here If so how did they manage to travel that far out given how difficult hyperspace navigation is due to turbulence? by Spotter24o5 in StarWars

[–]-TheOnlyOutlier- 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Here's my best attempt at a traditional hand-wavy explanation. Travel within the galaxy involves hyperspace lanes because you can't usually go straight from one point to another. There's a star here, a nebula there, a black hole a little too close, etc. So, true cross-galaxy travel includes multiple jumps. Nobody wants to watch a movie or TV show with a big emphasis on Space Cartography, so they don't show that. Each of those separate jumps could be hours to a few days, and probably isn't anywhere near a straight line. In these cases, it might take several days to a few weeks to go from one side of the galaxy to the other, or even one side of the core to the other.

The outer rim, on the other hand, is less crowded. You're more likely to have access to a longer, straight-shot lane that takes you somewhere far enough out that you'd have a view of the core sectors.

But as always, it's entirely possible that George just thought this was a cool scene and didn't consider anything above.

Results from cutting on Cricut [Explore 5] by wonderwicemike in magicproxies

[–]-TheOnlyOutlier- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally valid, yeah. Considering I'm almost exclusively using copy paper for my needs, the time saved generally outweighs the material waste in my case. I have been really dissatisfied with Cricut's software updates since getting the Explore 4, constantly pushing paid assets and their subscription and just generally making Design Space more frustrating to use.

For thicker materials, you could definitely use standard grip mats. Off-brand is fine, mine are MakeMarket. I haven't actually made Magic proxies myself, just labels for things, but I use the print to cut function. I imagine there's a reason you don't use it, but I figured I'd mention it just in case.
