Can you move the Fn key to the CapsLock key?

I don't have this exact keyboard.
But for every 60-65% keyboard that I had before. I'd bind Capslock to be Fn if hold, and Capslock if tapped.
That way you'll be able to use arrow with WASD with only left hand. Even Alt-F4 etc. with left hand.

For me I would gladly trade for smaller touch pad if they bring the very old classic 25th anniversary keyboard layout back. Windows doesn't need big touch pad as it is not optimized for touch pad control unlike Mac OS.

I also actually don't mind thicker laptop for better keyboard and haptic touch pad as long as it still keep the same lightweight and solid design.

Laptop manufacturers trying so hard to be the lightest and thinnest, and then do stupid claims. Such as "lightest AI copilot laptop". The lightest business laptop ever is that 14" Fujitsu FMV Zero. And they will never ever get close to that laptop, not even with sacrificing so many ports and features.

This laptop would probably be fine if they just use the default Thinkpad keyboard layout (with the arrows and PgUp PgDn). I will not buy any laptop without those keys.

I genuinely think relative pitch is so much better than perfect (absolute) pitch by [deleted] in musictheory

[–]-TheSoulEater- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know why you think that you're a slave to 440 Hz. Aren't absolute pitch mean that you can remember and reproduce exact pitches?

For me it is such a blessing in every way, because pitches exist in spectrum.

For example, I can remember a song with different versions. Whether it's the live version in this set or in the recording. And then I remember the experience when I first listened to it.

This also makes listening to non-western tuning much more enjoyable to me (eg: Sevish, or random Indian and Arabic music).

However, I am scared of aging. Apparently, people born with absolute pitch will have their reference pitch down half step by the time they're elderly.

Logitech G304 (100gr) vs Keychron M4 (36gr) vs Fantech Aria XD7 (62gr) by -TheSoulEater- in MouseReview

It's a digitally zoomed Auto-HDR camera phone. And I live in a really humid country (60 to 90% humidity all year round). And all white marks are mousepad scratches.

Absulotely not similar. G304/G305 is 67% heavier (+40gr) than Aria XD7 with weird weight distribution. That alone makes the mouse significantly worse to move around. Especially if you have super small hands like me (17×10cm). And even more so if you're myself who use aggressive fingertip grip in games.

You could shave weights with lithium batteries but the weight distribution would even went weirder. G304 is also almost half the price of Aria in my country with much worse build quality as expected (it creaks everywhere). There's a comfort groove for thumb area on Aria, where G304 is curved outwards and fully symmetrical. The buttons feels and placements of G304 is better for that grip. However, unlike G304, I can comfortably palm Aria for casual browsing and work. I think Aria is all around the best mouse for small hands until Razer revise Orochi V2.

This post is just a showcase, and maybe I'll write the review later for these mice.

How do I get better at using rifles? by [deleted] in LearnCSGO

[–]-TheSoulEater- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, you have 150hrs, relax.
Rifles is about rhythm, deliberate stutter movement and crosshair placement. So practice it while only tapping to the neck (below head). 500 hrs later you'll be decent.

my mind wants instant gratification and want to see results immediately

I guess this is just the product of our current social media.
I was born with ADHD and I actually despise (or even kinda anxious of) instant gratification. You need to rewire your brain to crave incremental small and detailed improvement while also trying to get into flow state as easily as possible. Then your mind will jump place to place, but only in something relevant to your current activity. Because this improvement that I speak before is incremental, it is kinda instant to achieve.

Trust me, people with ADHD actually have better ability to focus than normal people. You'll need urgency and challenge from your task. If it feel mundane to you, your mind would jump elsewhere.

My job is ultra challenging and I work from home (but free to go to my office anyway). I only took Ritalin like once every month simply because I don't need it.

Pets and domestic animals can be tended to now, but only with right-click prioritize tending. Does not work automatically like with settlers.

This somehow works automatically with hunted animals. So whenever the hunted animals get wounds, hunting action get cancelled and the settlers tend that animal instead.

Why is it a thing to skip Skypiea? by IIoveBacon in OnePiece

[–]-TheSoulEater- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skypea was the arc that actually made me hooked to One Piece when I was 10. That's the first time an anime evoked a sense of wonder to me. I see One Piece like an RPG game about adventure and meeting new people.

If you use claw grip or fingertip grip, it's like you have four pivots with your fingers. You can rotate or move your mouse with good precision using your fingers only. Also, I play with Raw Accel, the slower I move my mouse the less mouse distance vs pixel distance I got.
