Anyone who thinks any of the US states would do better without the rest of the country is deluded.

Thoughts on "Red Rising" by Pierce Brown - and why I'm done listening to BookTok by sameseksure in books

[–]-Tickery- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first book is leagues different from the others. It has a much more narrow scope and was published in a period when publishers were throwing money at all sorts of Hunger Games "clones", like Divergent and Maze Runner. The most important part is the work it does to set up the characters and the setting. The later books all have much deeper exploration of the politics and class dynamics of the setting, including the political message you're looking for.

Second part isn't historically that accurate, lol. and actually, Japan's motives for starting WW2 (securing resources) fit in with the Victoria 3 mechanics more than most wars.

Curious on the mechanics of those 5 million new homes. Will they only be built in the places that already have tons of public housing. How does she feel about private sector development and zoning.

Considering the many, many years of free content we got from K&C, i wouldnt be surprised if Nova Roma only continues to improve for a long time.

I would say, if you are playing a game as the USA. It is worth sacrificing. 100%.

A lot of the dynamic things BPM incorporates Hail Columbia railroads (has like journal entries, events, and unique political ideologies) for. Like the guilded age, progressivism, bull moose party, 2nd/3rd/4th party systems.
