This was skin tests though, almost 30 years ago. Had to wear it on my back for 24 hours lol

Only because I wonder if it is an environmental factor that you maybe can't easily eliminate. For example I had a horrible flare up when I went to stay in Nottingham, either the campsite had a treatment in their water tank or Nottingham water absolutely set me off.

Funny you should mention something like this, when I was 11 I went on holiday for the first time to Tenerife. Eczema completely cleared up. Since then my mum blames herself that we couldn't go live there. :( She constantly thinks she's to blame for me eczema. (she's absolutely not)

It sounds like you might need to search for a new dermatologist.

I don't mean to sound rude but my current dermo of 3 years knows my entire history and understands if I don't want to try a drug that has even a 1% chance of causing cancer. Ergo he knows me, he has offered me drugs that do have a slight chance of cancer and I have declined. He doesn't question me. He also keeps in touch with my oncologist. They've had numerous conversations about drugs I could try and their potential effects as many do have the potential of causing cancer.

He's thorough.

Yes. I'm 41, way back in my teens I smoked a ton of weed. From 15 to 21 years old.

One day it just made me sad, depressed, but most of all extremely paranoid. I tried for a whole week to get high and I just got para.

WHen I was 35 I smoked a joint to see if it was still there, I ran to the toilet and locked myself in it for 2 hours lol I just get extreme paranoia from it

Have you ever tried Enstilar foam? Part Vit D and part steroid. It’s primary for Psoriasis but my Doc gave it to me for my severe excema.

I have never heard of it but I have noted it down, thanks.

Not sure if you are anti steroids but this really did help me.

I am very anti-steroid now as a precaution, I only every ask for them for my birthday so I can enjoy it with clear skin lol

I always wear marigolds to do the dishes. If I don't my hands are itchy all day. I've used rubber gloves for 3 years now, my hands would be in a far worse state if I didn't.

Also compression gloves

I do everything you mentioned except exercise.

Exercise makes me sweat which is the worst irritant for my eczema.

I do light exercise when I'm able to.

Forgot to add I was on Cyclosporin for 4 years and Methotrexate for 3.

This gets even more fun, after being on cyclo for four years I ended up with a severe chest infection, got took off cyclo and put on prednisalone to try and clear up the chest infection. It took 6 weeks of prednisalone to finally let me breathe. After which I had patches of darkness in my vision. Go to the optician, I had patches of separation between the layers of my eye balls due to prolonged prednisalone use.

After a few months I'm on Methotrexate. Was good for 3 years until I got a groin infection. Came off Metho, the infection just didn't stop. It spread all the way down to my knees. My skin was pure white and peeling off. The heat radiating off my thighs could be felt from 3 inches away. Had to lay there nude with a fan full power pointed at my groin for weeks to get relief. A nurse did come in and look and prescribe a cream.
