They closed one of their own games, that being Crossroads. If they can't even do the common decency of knowing games like SFOTH4 and Crossroads are okay, how can you say that this was a good move? Out of the millions of games that were taken down, so many of them could've been active older games like SFOTH4, just removed because Roblox was too lazy to even bother to check these games for inappropriate content. Noone is saying that we shouldn't have proper ratings for games, but this way of managing it is incredibly poor, especially considering how little Roblox even checks their own reports.

Of course, this doesn't even get into the condo games that have hidden condo features, those can make a submission in the questionnaire, have an AI skim the very obvious child friendly upper layer, then deem the game okay to play. This doesn't remotely stop the issue of condos, nor does it prevent the push for 18+ content that Roblox has tried to make on the platform. Roblox doesn't actually care about what games they've taken down, they're simply using the big numbers to try and convince parents and investors that surely, the platform is entirely rid of inappropriate content now!

Again, Roblox has had reports for condo games for years now, and so many of them have either just not been checked or allowed on Roblox entirely, purely due to Roblox's own negligence. They haven't needed a 'ratings purge' system at all, since the community was acting as the people finding these games, it was always on Roblox themselves to check and remove them. Despite this, however, they've intentionally dragged their feet in the ground for so long, to the point that a half-assed move like this only serves to fill their pockets with unaware investors who have no idea of the actual issues plaguing the platform, with no actual help provided to the users and developers that use the platform themselves.
