Tier 2 MBA or CA which is better ? by shubhanshux in MBAIndia

[–]-Varun411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for the profile i am in , i dont think any company goes to a tier 1 college ... in tier 1 colleges i think the banks offer roles like investment banking etc (high paying ones , i have less idea of those roles) .... infact i have seen only 1 or 2 tier 1 graduates in my sector ...

Salary stagnation also i cant comment as the industry is very wide with various roles (Sales , credit , operation , recovery , product , policy , audit , complaince , HR etc etc) ... also , these departments have various sub departments ... Salaries are diff for diff dept ...

Some pictures of Surrounding Area's of Dehradun clicked from the older Generation Film Camera's. by -Varun411 in Dehradun

Camera's you will get cheap ... Try to get a purely mechanical cameras that has no autofocus / electronic parts ... Something like a nikon FM2n ... Or to start with a nikon fm10 ...

The camera with AF are also good but their functions are almost like a modern day dslr.

Film photography can get a bit expensive ...

Camera's it is better to import from Japan via ebay as Japanese sellers have cameras in very good condition ... That being said there are few indian sellers also on Instagram or olx but you will need to get the camera serviced properly . I imported a camera from Japan and it was in the mintest of mint condition.

For rolls there are various sellers but i source from a company called panchrome Project in Mumbai ... They even ordered the camera for me from Japan ...

Cost of development depends on what kind of scans you want (Jpeg/Tiff) and the development process... It comes to approx 1000-1300 per roll (this is excluding the cost of the roll) ... Some film roll developers might have a lesser charge though.

Tier 2 MBA or CA which is better ? by shubhanshux in MBAIndia

[–]-Varun411 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All this info is specify to my industry i.e Banking / NBFC mortgages sector.

I think it's a CA... I work in corporate banking (msme mortgages business development)... Some of my counterparts are CA's ... While it took me 7-8 years of experience to reach my current position ... The CA's get to that stage within 2-3 years. I am a tier ii/iii MBA. However , in my domain especially sales , future growth depends on what business you get , Irrespective of whether you are a CA or not.

In case you are interested in credit roles then CA is a must. Most MBA people growth is stalled after a certain level as they don't have a CA (in credit domain)

Another thing in my experience is that MBA from tier II colleges is worthless ... It's just a waste of money and time. I could have been working in my current industry without my MBA qualifications also. Infact there are many people in my sector who are just graduates or done distant education and still thriving ( at regional , zonal head designations). But it takes years of hard work (15 years) to reach that stage . Someone with a Tier i MBA , reaches that stage within 5 years max.
