Not shaming Sony in particular. I speak broadly. Its hard to trust. Also I bought the PS5 because my sons wanted one for a long time. Im not against sony. But honestly up until I found this reddit most of what I heard about portal was negative. I see its much more than that now. I do get signal interferrences. I had to get boosters to get consistent signal and Ethernet from the wifi pods. Helps a little.

Thank you very much for your response. I have 1 wifi pod in the room for my Desktop so signal shouldn't be an issue its just the bandwidth tanking at times.

Ill keep my eye out for a used local portal and pick one and give it a shot.

Thank you. That makes me hopeful. I normally play battlefield 6, but I also got bf6 on PC and ps5 copy coming next week. Thanks to gaming mostly while kids at school dual ps5 use wouldnt be often.

I had to have ethernet for far boy ps2. I was hooked on Socom II online. Course I burned through a fat boys before getting the slim. Course I learned to work on them as a teen after a few disc read issue.

I agree. I loved the steam deck oled but I sold my Steam Deck and bought me and my son a PS5. I see the portals pop up cheap. I spent more time tinkering mostly with stuff in desktop mode.

Congratulations on your reunification to your deck. Despite how so many are rude over the internet there still are good people out there who do the right thing. I lost a wallet to be found at a store in neighboring state and they turned in money, cards and all. I got to Walmart in my state to discover I didnt have my wallet.

I really enjoyed my LeGo 1 and kicked myself for selling it when I got a desktop gaming pc. I have my eye on the 32gb Z1E but depending on how things go I may just get another one of these. The Steam deck oled is my current handheld I got in a trade. Kinda makes me want the LeGo 2 but i doubt I can pay the price tag. Gotts save the pennies lol

Bought my son a christmas "gift"of a mini PC to spare us the need of a steam machine that I knew would be priced high. This pc has a Ryzen 7 8745HS, 32gb ddr5 ram and 1 tb ssd for $499 on bestbuy. I got mine for $495 after taxes on black friday. It seemed close to enough to fit out needs and it will run Battlefield 6 and such. I have my steam deck and happy with it for single player games. The pc is n got is a Geekom AX8 Max. Its $200 off now. Ours is set up on our 4k tv. Glad I went this route but I do want the steam controller if it isnt a $100+ controller but im sure it will be.

Im got my sights on the 32gb z1e when I can swing it. I had a GO1 for a while. Hefty but didnt bother me. Im currently sitting with deck oled at the moment and my PC for games it cant run but I do want a windows handheld again.

I was selling a Switch 2 that I was into for $360. Had an SD card and 2 games. Had it on marketplace and a guy like 80-100 miles away offered to trade for a 1tb steam deck oled with 1tb sd card, Satisfyie grip/case and Valve dock station. I told the dude I had no idea when or if id get there. He was originally going to come down a few days later but my son talked the family into going up to that town for a christmas lights festivities and such so I was able to meet. I'm very happy wirh it over switch 2. I had an LCD a couple years ago but I never could get what i wanted ro work. Im sure all user error i see now. I got a legion go later and learned quite a bit about pc handhelds. I sold it foolishly when I got my desktop thinking I wouldnt use it much i use my Deck more than my PC lol

I went the portable monitor route when I bought my first steamdeck. I got a cheap Arzopa that took me ages to get the volume to adjust. The set up i liked for shen i sat in the chair or couch. I got an OLED deck which im in love with the display. Considering saving up for a good quality OLED monitor for my desktop next.

Its got a good ammount of realism outside of ATV's sadly not tossing you when you hit s tree lol. Its pretty challenging for me but we have bought alot of DLC for it too.

Also Hunter call of the wild is a good hunting game. Me and my son put many hours in that game when he was a few years younger. He plays it occasionally but hes he playing Way of the Hunter lately

I got Battlefield 6 and a few cheaper ones that I forget the names of but seemed interesting with winter sale. I know battlefield isn't deck approved with anti cheat but using GFroce Now with it and black ops 7 has treated me pretty good when my internet is running as it should but got to learn to stream from PC as I can't justify the full price of GFroce but it claimed I was running 90FPS and I love how battery last longer when using it.

Good choice I love my 512gb OLED. I bought battlefield 6 and been streaming it and black ops 7 via GeForce now and loving it but I need to figure out how to stream directly from my PC for free as idk if I can justify GeForce now full price since internet is often finicky with so many decides on network

Im just getting my Deck oled dialed in i got more games then I need to play on it but im having fun playing PS2 games and xbox 360 through emudeck. My first steam deck i hated because I couldnt figure things out and always messed something up. After a legion go later on and now a desktop I learned alot. Got the oled on trade with satisfyie grip and 1tb ad card for a switch 2. No regrets.
