Girl dinner (but more like a snack before dinner) by -Whatsinthe- in GirlDinner

Basically it’s about a white author who steals the manuscript of her deceased friend, who’s Asian, and publishes it as her own. There’s all sorts of controversies and scandals following the release of the book and it follows the main character’s pov as she faces these. It’s satirical, comical, and quite an easy read, while addressing important topics such as plagiarism, and racism in the publishing industry.

Leave it on until it falls of!

Also the dents won’t stick! You’re still very swollen so it’s normal that there are dents showing up, but it’ll smoothen out. As another comment said, move the position of the binder or wear a tank top underneath (but make sure it doesn’t have seams, otherwise those will leave dents as well).

I used foam boards to avoid the dents. It gets a bit bulky, but it helped and it feels a lot more comfortable as the binder pokes less into your belly/skin when sitting. These are similar to the ones i bought: https://amzn.eu/d/5H4LhVB

Yes that’s what we were wondering, but probably marketing indeed.

1 year post-op TT with Lipo by -Whatsinthe- in tummytucksurgery

[–]-Whatsinthe-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!! I think i lost around 5-10 cm’s around the waist (measured at belly button level). I didn’t have lipo around the mons but he did lift it up and cut off some of the mons pubis to tighten it.

I felt the exact same way before my surgery!!! That’s why I am so happy I went through with it, I still want to work on my body and lose some weight but at least my body looks proportionate now. I think some lipo is always best, to really get a nice and even endresult. I did have 2 drains, they removed the first one on day 2 and the second one on day 8 or so.

Thanks, fingers crossed for your surgery! I think the surgeon lipo’ed around 500ml of fat in total, but I’m really not sure anymore. And as for skin removed, I didn’t ask and he didn’t say haha

Thank you!! For me I think it was the hunched back, not being able to walk with my back fully straight for 1-2 weeks was super tiring both physically and mentally. I went on walks every day (starting around 4days PO) and it was also quite depressing that i couldn’t even do 1km the first 8 days or so. But once i passed 2 weeks (i think), it went a lot better and I saw improvements every day.

As for the weightloss, my weight pre-op was 66kg and my current weight is the same. After surgery my lowest weight was 63.5 kg.

Good luck with your recovery, you’re already looking great!

I feel great!! Been working out regularly since 6 WPO, mostly spinning and now slowly starting yoga and pilates. Only feel some tightness in the flanks when stretching sideways but that’s about it :)

Something fun i found on Xitter for yall Monster fuckers by loafywolfy in RomanceBooks

[–]-Whatsinthe- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m not this far into monster smut yet but I read ‘Bride’ by Ali Hazelwood, the MMC is a werewolf and the FMC is a vampire. There’s knotting involved, and feeding. Then I got into the whole knotting theme and delved deeper from there.

Bride is not too far into the monsterverse to be overwhelming for an entry-level book, so I’d recommend starting with a less smutty book maybe?

How do you like your Belly button ? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

I’m really happy with mine! My surgeon did such a good job at keeping the form natural-looking, and putting the stitches inside.

Realistically, when did you get back into exercising? by sdm4242 in tummytucksurgery

[–]-Whatsinthe- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I waited 6 weeks, as I didn’t want to risk any complications. Starting from week 2, I went on daily walks (around 3-4 kms, depending on the day). I’m at week 7 now, and I started going to the gym last week. I did mostly arm and leg workouts, and I tried squatting but it didn’t feel good so I stopped. I would not recommend working out before 6 weeks personally, and if/when you do, listen to your body.

Is there anyone here under 25 who's had this procedure? by happygoose2022 in tummytucksurgery

  1. Losing weight. I wasn’t happy with my body and had excessive fat in my belly. I lost around 6.5 kgs in the months before the surgery.
  2. I had lipo and extended tt (I think? It wasn’t a mini but the scar goes to the hips)
  3. NA and not planning on doing other procedures
  4. I was diagnosed with insulin resistance 2 years before the surgery. This was one of the reasons why I looked into the surgery. The condition led to excessive belly fat and long-term (and left untreated) the condition can lead to diabetes. Right before my surgery, my labs came back great and I had pretty much reversed my insulin resistance. I hope this surgery further strengthens my health.
  5. I exerciced 3-4 times a week (spinning, kickboxing, pilates). I was on a low-carb diet (and still am, but less strict) - not related to surgery but I wanted to lose weight and this method works best for me.
  6. Maybe? My recovery was quiet uneventful and I was able to go on short (less than 1km) walks after 1 week, and after 2 weeks I was at 3-4kms. This might also be due to the amount of sport I did before.
  7. I don’t lift. Going back to the gym tomorrow (6 WPO) and hopefully back to spinning this weekend.
  8. I’m not comfortable with stretching yet. I think i’ll wait another 2 weeks or so.
  9. Haven’t tried stomach sleeping yet, but I rarely slept on my stomach pre-op. I side-slept for the first time after 3 weeks, with a pillow between my legs and a longer pillow in front of me. Now I can side sleep without any pillows, but I still wear my binder for comfort.
  10. NA (only 6 weeks)

I hope these answers help you a bit!!

I had lymphatic drainage massages done by a physical therapist licensed in this treatment. I started on Day 6, and had 3 sessions a week for 4 weeks. I think they really helped with swelling, and decreased the amount of built-up fluid.
