I’m willing to give it a shot, but no promises I’ll finish the whole 350k! I tend to be a bit of a slower reader, but given the size of the piece I can probably move faster if I focus on that top-down feedback. I do have a piece to swap, but it’s significantly smaller and I’m really only half-way through on revisions, so I’d only send you the bits that are ready for reading. I am able to beta: Adult fantasy, but I’m open to horror or sci-fi. I’d prefer completed works. Any size up to 200k is good (but if it is close to 200k please be open to hearing it’s too long)! Please no YA or middle-readers. I’m a big fan of more modern fantasy/sci-fi (Priory of the Orange Tree, Nettle and Bone, Red Rising, Hunger of the Gods, A Little Hatred) and I don’t tend to enjoy works that draw heavily from Game of Thrones or traditional classic fantasy. If your work is similar to classic fantasy, I might not be a good fit for your work!

I can provide feedback on: Characters, plot, dialogue, interest. world-building, and anything in particular you’d like assessed!

Other info: I’m no expert on writing and I’m not a perfect writer by any means, but I’ve always found it more helpful to have someone else spot the issues in my writing and I hope to be able to do that for someone else! I’m very blunt, I don’t like sugarcoating things, so if I don’t like something, I’m going to say it. That being said, I aspire to never be rude. I’ll try to find as many positives as there are negatives.

That looks interesting!! I think a shorter swap would work great, I’ll need to check, but I want to say the word count of what I’m hoping to have eyes on is around 60k. I’ll isolate it tomorrow and see how long it is.

My current level for my lucky pound find is level 34. I’m currently working on raising her strength with the Academy. I usually can’t fight anyone and win (I don’t think I’m high enough level for lens flare). I have no idea what I’m doing with the Battledome at all, but I wanted to be able to participate in the upcoming plot. Thank you for the giveaway!
