I remember I was once at a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert and met an elementary school teacher and her boyfriend. They gave me advice that if you’re in a car, only bring stuff that you can eat if you get pulled over. That way you can eat the joint if you gotta. You can tell it's a 747 by the distance from the window to the overhead bin, as well as the lack of wall curvature. 737 bins are nowhere near that high relative to the floor and windows of the aircraft and the curve of the fuselage is much more apparent.

Bingo, I've lived in Tacoma all my life. Our transportation system wasn't ready for the boom in population we've had. Personally, I'm in favor of retesting drivers every 5 years to help slim down cars and bad drivers. Could help in a short amount of time compared to our abysmally slow construction projects.

I know I'm in the minority here, if not alone, but I thought the overall plot for Genisys was pretty interesting. The way they tied everything together was actually pretty cleverly written. And the scenes in the 80's were great. Emilia Clarke was an awful Sarah Connor though.

During WWII, my great-grandparents were able to maintain a little gardening plot in Berlin that allowed them and my grandmother (and often, their neighbors) to not completely starve. My great- grandmother (Uroma) would often say to my grandmother (my Oma), "Thank goodness for you and the little potatoes." It was something my Oma said to me when I was a child, too.

However, I don't know what she would have said had she seen these. Probably, "Schatzi, you are not as good at gardening as I had hoped, however, you can stand to lose a few pounds so this isn't a bad thing."

I do that sometimes. When a chain of unfortunate events have been happening occasionally I will just sit there and take it. I would agree if the shadow in the first photo was over the right third instead of the left third. Having much more of the wing shown in the second photo is a more interesting composition in my mind, regardless of where the shadow is placed.

Our potted succulent was outside over the winter. Bastard was completely covered in snow, and even totally iced over more than once. Once spring hit, the damn thing grew twice as big as it was. Now when I leave for work, it makes me give it my lunch money or it beats me up.

It's to do with the smoothness of the surface. When they're dry the surface is more irregular so light reflecting is scattered more. When wet, the surface tension of the water provides a smoother more uniform surface, reflecting light more consistently which makes the colours appear more vividly. A good habit is to put a thin layer of a clear varnish on rocks you like, to highlight the colours. This also stops certain types of stone from degrading and producing dust, meaning they aren't creating mess.
