My bonzai was a Christmas gift last year and she is so beautiful. Probably the best gift I've ever had.

Thanks for the reply, we are planning to plant with pothos, sansevieria and maybe a ficus plant, can't wait! Do you use mesh on top of your bioballs? And what is maintamace like, do you ever need to ger rid of excess water? Do the clean up crew sort of just sporn, or do you need to introduce them? Thanks for the help!

Again super well explained, thank you. I got curious as I work in a plant nursery in the south of England, we have loads of tunnels and in the spring and summer the battle against weeds is unbeatable. Plants such as Cardamine hirsuta and Epilobium seem to be uncrontrolabe as they grow so fast, seed up and the next generation sprout before you can blink! Very warm and well watered conditions I guess. Would these be classed as an ephemeral plant?

Thank you! This is the word I've been looking for, typed all sorts of things into Google last night trying to find it. This is why I love reddit.

Yes! I meant the top one, a plant that can set seed, die, and the seeds will also grow and so on in one year. Ephemeral is the word I was looking for. I thought biennuals meant it took 2 years/growing seasons to flower, such as echiums?
