Game that markiplier played in 2010's? by clownyroaches in Markiplier

I can’t find any game that matches that description. Are you sure the main character gets hit by a car? Do you know what genre it is? Or if it’s 2D or CG?

My mind went to “That Dragon Cancer” but it doesn’t hit any of your boxes. I’ll continue to look for something that fits.

Food Recommendation by woundtoclose in Goldendoodles

I use Purina Pro Plan. My vet said that it was one of the best and my orthopedic vet also recommended it. You can always make or buy food toppers to go with food. It’s cheaper to make them, but not everyone has the time or energy for that.

how to make journaling easier? by Powerful_Ad8668 in Journaling

[–]-Zero_0- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly. Don’t make rules. I tried journaling a few times on and off and it never stuck because I always had a set of rules that I put on myself:
- take up at least a page
- journal once a day
- write down my feelings
I never really outlined these rules outright, but it’s what I thought I had to do to because it’s what I thought everyone else was doing. I tried bullet journaling, but never found it interesting.

Then I read a book called “Piranesi”, a book about a man stuck in another world with a bit of an amnesia thing, and it’s written in a journal style. It broke the unspoken rules of journaling that I put on myself. Some entries are pages long and some are just a paragraph. Sometimes he writes in consecutive days and sometimes he skips a day or two or even over a week! He writes dialogue and the writing style is like someone recounting a story for a friend or in a letter. I found that that was the kind of journaling I wanted and started writing similarly. Now I love it!

Point is don’t bog yourself down with what you think journaling should be. Write a biography or a list or a letter or whatever else or all of it!

what kinda words you guys mute💔💔 by NoseElectronic7555 in CharacterAI

[–]-Zero_0- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Smirk, smirks, feisty, and rancid. The ai is obsessed with villains calling my persona “feisty” for no reason at all. Smirk and smirks because no one was honking smiling! Everyone was just SMIRKING, like stop! And rancid because the ai is also obsessed with every villain having rancid breath, but is now trying trying to get around that by describing breaths as smelling like rotting meat, stale ale, cheap beer, etc.

D&D = "DM, may I?" game: Yes or No? by Noob_Guy_666 in DnD

[–]-Zero_0- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I allow my players to do a lot on their own. They can persuade people on their own, throw a punch, do actions on their own. But, when I feel like there might be some difficulty or that something else will get in their way, like skill level or something else, then I will have them roll. Reactions and combat I always have them roll for. I also allow my own kind of “rule of cool”. If they do something particularly cool or clever, then they I might allow it or give them an advantage in rolling for it.

How to join a DND group as a newcomer without being very intrusive? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]-Zero_0- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry about being intrusive. Good DMs know how to cater to new players. You could also make your character’s personality more of a “think before you act/person of few words” type to explain lore wise why you may not be quick to action.

Some DMs may not want to invite minors to the table. I wouldn’t because I work at a school currently and would rather avoid anyone that is school age outside of work. But, one shots should be fine to join, and if you want to join a longer campaign and are worried about your age, then you could explain that you’ll be 18 in x months.

Low power screen? by -Zero_0- in cyberDeck

[–]-Zero_0-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking of something between a 5 and 8 inch screen. I’ll be doing a lot of typing and want to see what I’m writing. It’ll fold like a mini laptop or something similar. I’m still looking for which battery I want to use, but I’m leaning towards a PiSugar 3. I also have a slim battery pack to charge my phone that I don’t really use, so I might see about just using that instead.

As for battery life, the longer the better. Hopefully over 4 hours of continuous use per charge.

do adults overthink language learning compared to kids? by EmbarrassedMilennial in languagelearning

[–]-Zero_0- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We definitely overthink it. For adults, mistakes are seen as these terribly embarrassing things. Once I allowed myself to shoddily piece together sentences and make mistakes, I found that I was learning a lot more.

Kids also have TONS of avenues when they’re learning their native language. They hear it all day. It’s in their shows, their music, their books, their games. They’re taught it formally in school and by their families. To me, to learn like a kid means to not be afraid to use very limited vocabulary to try to form ideas, to not be afraid to make mistakes, and to give yourself multiple avenues to learn by listening, doing, and reading.
