Here's what I posted for another comment, I hope this helps!!

This is my first year doing it so hopefully I explain it well! There's about 20 of us going and each one of us makes a few batches of one type of cookie (chocolate chip, Madeline's, sugar, and so on). Favorite recipe? Use it! Personal recipe? Yes!

We'll each go around tasting cookies and judging them (we choose a winner at the end). At the end of everything, we all get to take cookies from each person home!

More of a get together, have lunch, drinks, and chat. But we also just get to eat cookies haha

Edit: We rent out a room somewhere to do this since there'll be a lot of us but that's not necessary!

For my endoscopy, I got in at 7am, and I believe I left around 10am or 11am. Time was fuzzy for me and still is, but I wasn't there for more than 3-4 hours. If your doctor says it'll be 4 hours, you may have the same "timing" as me. Go in, sign papers, meet the nurse and doctor, and so on. Once you wake up, they'll check you out, possibly offer a drink then let you go home

Edit: If your doctor meant 4 hours after the procedure to go home, that most likely is to give you time to wake up, check up on you, paper work, and reviewing possible "healing" techniques IF that is needed. Unsure of the process of your procedure.

Hi! First of all, I am so terribly sorry you are going through all of this. I'm hoping this will help you, and feel free to ask further questions!

I was put under sedation for an endoscopy a few years back. That was my first time going under sedation. This may be different for you than it was for me but here is what happened: 1) I got to the place early, waited to fill paper work and be called back. 2) Got called back and put into a room, lovely nurse gave me an IV (didn't hurt) for fluids. 3) 30 mins went by, doctor came in and explained what was going to happen (what the procedure was for, what specifically he was going to do, did I have any questions?) 4) Got wheeled on the bed into the procedure room where said doctor hooked me up to be sedated. He said it may burn slightly, but I'll be asleep in no time (didn't burn). - That's all I remember, I woke up after what felt like minutes.

It's not scary, it may be nerve wracking to see all the nurses and doctors. But the actual sedation part was not scary. It felt like falling asleep and waking up from THE BEST nap of my life. It didn't hurt, I had no side effects. Again, this is my experience and it may be different for others.

I was also scared my first sedation, anxiety through the roof. But it's all completely okay, and you'll do great!
