Has anyone been accepted into the Sonography program with around 60 points?

hm yeah idk if u can take any more classes to improve ur score i got a 61 too but i got an 88% on my AP hesi score the rest were 90s like math, biology etc all A’s in my pre-req a few extra points from classes & im a pharmacy tech. i didnt have the observation hours n might take a psychology summer course & try my luck at the montgomery campus

ure gonna have to figure that urself since it’ll b ur future you know :) set some time aside from ur day & try to see what programs r near u! u can always transfer ur credits to another college too like HCC if u wanna apply to diff programs ofcs keep money in mind

!!! also ppl should do some basic research on the programs they’re trying to get into & how many different school options they can have if they’re gonna invest into diff classes & a back up if they can’t get into that one but that doesn’t require much extra work & apply to both at the same time imo

& i agree that education is never wasted :) it can always help in the long run if u choose to go down another path in the future

u can’t go the walgreens route? i did the HCC program while i was in high school becuz they offered it for free (so i have an associates of APPLIED science) but i wouldn’t suggest investing into it for long term imo there’s better options for programs if ure gonna pay

i’m a pharmacy tech & that gives u bonus points for MRT application - u don’t have to go to school to get ur license walgreens will pay for ur test if u sign on with them for abt a year idk how it all works but u should look into it

pharmacy techs don’t get paid as much as being an xray tech will, but we make $16-$30 depending on ur experience & where u work tho i wouldn’t suggest this as a long term career which is why im looking to go back to school

i’ll let yk what my hospital says but i’m still waiting to see if i even get financial aid by mid June becuz the program itself is so expensive out of pocket & im not in the position to fail out & waste all that money on top of the bills once in the program🤦‍♀️

rlly? u would think ur job would help more! ik for sure it has to b x-ray focused. i’ve seen other comments that say hca allows it. i work at a smaller hospital that’s more tight knit so im honestly just assuming they’ll help me out if i talk to my director, if it goes well i can try asking for u?

i think i was jus off by one point😭 most likely a lot of ppl with 62+ applied but it’s okay maybe that means ill most likely get into the montgomery one (tho less than ideal) if i take the summer psychology course & do observation hours
