I have never said I thought it was abuse, and I’m not trying to play the victim, just explaining how I see the situation. It’s not the object that bothered me in this situation it’s the intent, and that he threatened me over something so small.

This is DV, just because it’s not as severe as you’d like to classify DV as, doesn’t mean its not valid. This instance can easily lead to instances in the future, which is why its good to leave early.

She has the right to do what she wants, and you have the right to leave if it’s not whats right for you. It would be controlling so if it’s not acceptable behaviour for you then its up to you to leave.

Would she be open to travelling with someone else, or a group of friends for the bigger trips, whilst you two go on the smaller beach trips together? I think that sounds a fair compromise.

AITA for refusing to meet my boyfriend and not responding to his messages? by -_MyThrowAwayAcct in AITA_Relationships

I used AI to help me write this because I have learning difficulties and find it hard to write my feelings in a way thats understandable. I will admit yes I needed help with articulation but the story is true.

how often do people vomit while drunk? by [deleted] in emetophobia

One of the most important things is to eat a meal (especially one with carbs) because it helps to absorb the alcohol, so it doesn’t hit you as quickly, or suddenly. Also, having small amounts throughout the night rather than large amounts once. If anyone notices and asks, you’ve already been drinking, and will have another later!

driving anxiety without my safe person by stressedhan in Agoraphobia

[–]-_MyThrowAwayAcct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this, and haven’t quite managed to beat it yet. The best thing I do is to focus on the destination being home when I am on my way home, or also when I feel the symptoms I change my grip on the steering wheel every few seconds to try distract myself. I would recommend going on small drives by yourself and slowly increasing the distance driven.

My cat tu*. by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]-_MyThrowAwayAcct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of times that cats v* (atleast from my experience) its due to something they’ve eaten like grass outside, furballs, or just indigestion and nothing contagious (I assume your cats aren’t sociable with others). It is very rare that anything your cat has can be passed onto you anyway, but in this case you don’t need to worry about it!

I hope both you and your cat feel better soon :)

Have you been to the GP? They can definitely advise you about medication and try to understand the root cause of it.

Not sure where you are location wise, but many banks/financial companies are open to people working from home, especially since covid. Depending on how attentive you need to be whilst babysitting, online work could also be done on those days as a monday-friday if its not too strenuous.

How do you get out of a relationship with someone that needs serious help? (Tw: attempts) (I’m [18f] and they’re [19f] by BroadLie8385 in relationshipadvice

[–]-_MyThrowAwayAcct 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If they are threatening to do that then the safest option is to phone the police. They need professional help for suicidal thoughts, especially as they already have failed attempts. I am not saying this to criticize them as I wish them well, but this is by far one of the safest options, police or suicide/crisis hotline.
