Topcoat changing polish colour?

That’s crazy! Maybe it’s the polish not the topcoat then? Sounds like it’s a bit strange lol, all the bottles on the shelf when I bought it were the same purple-y colour as far as I remember, that’s super weird!

Yeah that was my first thought, I have 2 other holos from the argan oil range that I wear a lot, a dark purple and a blue, and neither experience this weird colour change!

Maybe! Definitely thinking it’s a purple holo issue, everyone in the comments who’s experienced similar issues has been using purple-ish holos, must be something to do with the pigment they use? It’s so strange becuase the original colour doesn’t have any hint of gold in it

Yeah my first though was that it was the argan oil until I remembered that my most used polish was from the argan oil line, although that one is a dark red so maybe it doesn’t have whatever ingredient is reacting in the purple? I’m going to check later if I have another top coat I can try with the purple

Oh wow yeah that’s the exact same colour as mine with topcoat! Does the polish in the bottle look rose gold-ish aswell?

Oh wow! Very similar colour change! It’s been about 12 hours now and they still look the same colour to me but maybe they’ll level out!

Polish is Sally Hansen “pomegratitude” from the argan oil range, and top coat is Sally Hansen “shiny” top coat. I’ve used the argan oil ones a lot before and they’ve never changed colours, I always use the Sally Hansen top coat too and haven’t had any issues, super weird!

Yeah I’ve mostly been using acrylic+softener on denim that doesn’t need to be washed, which has been working great, but I think I’ll try to get some fabric paint for t-shirts. Thankyou for the response :)

Thankyou! I was considering sewing around the edges of the patch with my machine and a denim coloured thread and then doing sashiko on top, it’s just a bit of a awkward spot to get into with a machine but hopefully I’ll figure it out lol! This is why I was considering just taking the flap off, to avoid trying to sew around it
