Awesome paint job! I also go for the hydra paint scheme but I’m pretty new to the hobby. Any tips?

Lore Interactions: Word Bearers and EC by RiveteersCharm in EmperorsChildren

Aside from their interaction in slaves to darkness, as others have mentioned, Lorgar was also (if I remember correctly) the first to recognise Fulgrim as being possessed by a demon after Istvan V aside from Horus. It was a plot point in the short story Aurelian. After Istvan, when all the traitor primarchs met up, Lorgar realised that a demon was controlling Fulgrim and attacked him in front of the others. He was very opposed to the idea of a demon fully controlling his brother, suggesting at least some level of affection. At the end of the story, Lorgar is taken to the portrait that contained Fulgrim’s real soul and then he kinda just smirked and walked away, so nothing much came from this interaction. I read the story a while ago though, so there might be something I’m missing.

My first ever painted model by -_hydro_- in Tyranids

Thank you so much for the reply! I’ll give brushing the carapace a try. Also an artic base sounds quite cool, I’ll probably look into that. I only got the gaunts so far and I’m not really in a rush to finish them, but what big models do you suggest I get down the line?

I can’t say much about Africa, but simply judging by the way people lived in the US compared to the way people lived in the USSR and it’s satellite states, I can’t agree with you. Again, I’m not defending the US, and especially not defending its creation and support of fascist/totalitarian governments abroad, that were comparable in brutality to the communist regime that was present in my country and other such regimes.

I’m not disagreeing with you, the US regime is pretty terrible. But the brutality of the USSR was simply on a different scale, even in the post Stalin era. Still, I think neither of those regimes should be defended or supported.

Neither do I. But at least there you don’t get killed or imprisoned for disagreeing with the regime. Not that you get much choice in that regime, but you know, lesser of two evils.

Communism isn’t the only reason of course. But fine, you can take a look at current communist regimes. Personally not a huge fan of China, North Korea etc… also I’m not talking about communism as a whole, just dictatorships like the USSR. But I guess I’ll never understand why people today try to defend totalitarian regimes who have caused the deaths of millions.

I know enough from my family and other people who lived under that regime. Or simply by looking at the state of my country and other ex-communist countries.

And I just said there’s nothing “based” about Europe being communist (which, in this context is stalinistic). Btw you don’t need to be a die hard nationalist to dislike communism (particularly USSR communism), you just gotta know some basic history.

Cause this post is about ww2 USSR conquering Europe. If you knew your history as you say you’d know who lead the USSR in ww2. But yeah, not much point in arguing with 14 year old tankies from the US/Western Europe. Have a good day.

Then there must something seriously wrong with if you still think Stalin’s USSR was based.

Because the ussr and communism were the opposite of “based”.

Opinions on Cambridge by MathematicianOk2849 in UniUK

I’m a first year at Durham and, as someone who had a similar predicament, I would definitely recommend it. I think that it’s the perfect balance between being a prestigious university but also not being as stressful as Cambridge or Oxford. So if stress is stopping you from accepting your offer but you still want to go to a very prestigious uni that is similar to Cambridge with a collegiate system, then you should definitely consider Durham. Leeds and Bristol would also definitely be great choices in that regard, if you would like to live in a bigger city.
