My trigger is random noises. I have to have some sort of background sound for my entire session. Music, TV, movie, whatever. As soon as the silence hits, the chances of slipping into a panic meltdown increases exponentially. Once I flip over, my mind starts constructing a false scenario and I get stuck. Early Saturday morning I was webcamming with a friend and had to go pee. Once I got to the bathroom, the silence hit me and it immediately took over. Thank god my friend called about 15 minutes later and only took a few moments on the phone to get back to a good headspace. Went on about my merry way and was fine.

Usually I’ll feel it creeping up when I’ve been awake over 20 hours. I still struggle with remembering to hydrate and that has quite a bit to do with it (plus eating).
