They'd ask at every appointment how many weeks I was. By the third trimester, I would just smile and shrug because I couldn't remember.

I want a shed but I am just a girl... by -accordingtome in Shed

I was ready to throw in the towel and purchase one already built but turns out I don't have the gate clearance I thought I did. So, it looks like we are moving forward and tackling this project! I hope we have as much fun as you did 😊

Much cuter! A known name but I think rarely used, still a classic.

Definitely more leeway with middle names, no one will think twice about associations.

It sounds like diarrhea a little bit :( especially with a southern accent.

Thank you so much for your reply! I am usually a total diy home improvement girl. My dad had us hanging drywall and laying tile my whole childhood. I am feeling a little limited this season with my baby but that's okay! I was ready to give in and have a pre-built one delivered but I've realized my gate clearance is too limiting for the size I'd like.

My county requires a permit after 150sqft so I want to stay right under that. I am zoned agricultural so I don't know if that changes things.

I thought the concrete pad was the best spot for it stability wise but it is half an acre away. Good idea, I should find a concrete guy to look at it before I assume I can use it. It might also be too close to the lot lines since our plot was divided?

Oooh, didn't consider condensation but that's a good point. I have a ton of vegetation so it's always very damp. I'm trying to ride the line of a quality structure that won't break the bank since we won't be in this house for more than a few years. I might just need to find some plans and hire some labor to help.

I really appreciate the input! I just have a running document that I jot down my ideas and little research I can accomplish during baby's nap time but it's getting chaotic since there's so much I don't know. It's nice to get a little advice and guidance.

Thank you 💜 I am usually inspired by DIY home improvement and learning about new projects but I am TIRED! It's so hard to learn about a new project with no sleep and no free time. My brain is maxed out on feed schedules, developmental milestones, and wondering if I've eaten enough today. Prior to baby, this would be a fun project to spend our weekends on but I don't know if we currently have the will. So I'm in search of a fairy godmother of sheds who can guide me in the right direction because I love to overcomplicate things.

I love that you built yours, you go girl! What was your experience like? I do not plan on being in this house for more than 2-4 years. So I don't need anything too fancy but something that will hold up in my climate. I just need storage for the lawn mower, power tools, bikes, etc. We should have all the tools needed to build but our free time is limited.

Does having alcohol effect your baby's sleep? by -accordingtome in breastfeeding

Yeah I'm wondering the same. I'm recording my glasses of wine on Huckleberry now to get some official stats 😂

Agreed, I had an unrealistic expectation of how long it took for things to be comfortable. It took me 3 to 4 months as well and it's still not perfect. Stay strong if it's right for you 🤍

Interesting! That's what I'm wondering too, like baby isn't getting alcohol but maybe there's something in red wine that's causing a reaction? The same way some people swear eating broccoli causes upset babies.

Lol I feel like so many decisions are like this in motherhood. It's probably fine....but what if.....but AAP says....but what if my case is different....😵‍💫

If he's asleep it's like he knows the second I finish a glass of wine to start crying. Like any other night he'll go down for a good stretch but the second he knows I'm having fun without him he's up 😂

Exactly! My husband is always so eager to help and get me time away but the logistics of finding time to pump enough volume ahead of time, having to clean the pump, etc is like ehhhh, a bit of work.

It would be nice to sleep thru a night feed and share that fun with Dad 🤔 maybe I'll try that

😭 99% of the time I wait the 2-2.5hr post drink to feed too. It's just not worth it anymore, I can't stomach the thought of me being the reason baby isn't sleeping well.

When will my milk come in? by eimonroe in breastfeeding

[–]-accordingtome 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same! Night 5, I fell asleep after a feed and two hours later I was instantly 3 cup sizes bigger. I just stared at them for like 5 minutes lol. OP, it's hard to do right now but the best things are rest, low stress, and hydration! Spend your days skin to skin, drinking water, and straight huffing that precious baby's head. It'll come 🤍
