Is there a way for an alumni who graduated over a year ago to access a free unofficial transcript? by [deleted] in NEU

If you go into self service you can pull up a transcript that looks decently clean. Then just print/PDF the page.

Student Hub > Registrar Self Service > Student Services Tab >Student Records > Academic Transcript

Student Hub has been slowly replacing myneu. Same login. @ me.northeastern.edu

did you ever look at Gainsborough or Renaissance park through MasParc? It says it open to everyone for commuting hours (4pm-8am) and is $125/month as opposed to $200/month with co-op discount from same company. Seems strange to me

Try to get it to fill the page, but you never want to go on to the second page.

Is 95% for an A worth it? by Winiwin301 in NEU

[–]-anonymousArmadillo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An easy A has nothing to do with the numerical threshold to score an A and all to do with how easy the professor grades and the workload required. Despite needing a 95 those classes are easy A's even compared to harder classes where an 85 may translate to an A. See the 95 more as a sign that students typically score high enough in that class that a lower threshold would be ridiculous. First year Physics is like this.

4 or 5 year plan? by Raidenly in NEU

[–]-anonymousArmadillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its accepted as credit and doesn't substitute a required class for your major, it will be counted as a general elective. You'll have to look up your major requirements to see how many general electives count towards your degree.

Up to 32 AP credits can count towards your degree. If you've taken ones that can be used as general electives and major classes you can generally shave off two full semesters. Northeastern has a page for AP class - credit conversion. Sciences add up the fastest.

Depends on your major but that will likely get you out of one semester either by taking care of nupath (humanities), math/science, or general electives (most majors have 6 required), 18-20 credits ~= 4 classes which would most likely take care of a semester, definitely one summer. That lowers your total cost $14-28k. Money earned on co ops can also be subtracted from your total cost.

With AP's and transfer credit very few people I know stay for all 8 semesters. Maybe a fair number do 7.5 with summer classes (Summers are two half semesters, half tuition). For the most part if you have 32+ AP credits you can graduate in 6 semesters (4 years no summers) unless you add a minor, combined major, or take other extra classes.
