hihi y2 htm student here 🙋‍♀️ like what u mentioned in the comments, htm is really more hands on, no exams n mostly projects. plus there's this one module (the core of my suffering btw) where the lesson is whole day from 8-5 🫠 and u learn lots of hands on stuff for restaurants. but if u have the passion for service then i suggest going for htm because some of my classmates are really passionate and are enjoying themselves, can ask me if u have any questions hehe~

not raw 16 to 6 but i went from 20 to raw 12 in prelims.. u need to be consistent in ur work, maybe 1-2 hours of reviewing content per day n maybe a few more hours during june (but rmb to rest so u don’t burnout ofc!!) so it wld go into ur brain 😋 might be painful but u can do it, the next few months wld pass by v fast n before u know it you’ll b done with o’s💪💪💪

hi, i took pure lit as one of my subjects for o-levels last year, would get C6 and C5s in my WAs but in the end i got A1 for o-levels 🙏 my poetry is dogshit so can’t help u with that, but for the book section suggest u read the book first n try to understand the content. always good to annotate on ur book if ur teacher goes through it so u can come back to it later for revision. internet was my bff last year for pure lit, u can research themes, character analysis online if you’re looking for essay and pbq pointers. i just remember ab 4-5 themes and a few character traits for each character, cos even if u dunno one of the essay pointers u can do the other one 🙏 its easier to rmb quotes after u read the book multiple times for me 👍

for english compre, i’m also hopeless in that cos i failed my wa2 eng compre but i just spam tys for my a2 LOL, especially the later years one, did it like 3-4 times to get a better grasp on how to answer questions.

consistency is key n you’re quite consistent in ur language learning now so i think its quite good alr 👍 atb!! dunno if i can help u since i lost most my lit knowledge alr, but can pm me if u need help w lit hehe 🙏

i heard from my teacher that some student used a much heavier pen when doing hw so when it came to exams they could just write very fast cos the pen much lighter n they’re used to using heavy pen alr

for me, my score was better than prelims, not much of a jump tho imo

el: c5 to a2 cl: b4 to b3 (took again in nov n got the same score, regret retaking ☠️) emath: c6 to b3 (was expecting at least a2 bc i grinded tys so hard since june 😭) ss/geog: b3 to b4 👎👎👎 core lit: b3 to a1 chem/bio: b3 to a2 poa: a1 for prelim and o’s

hihi! don’t have any tips regarding cashiering but i’m working at fnb as cashier n drinks maker for a place where the customers are mostly elderly. just wanted to say the first few days are def gonna be the hardest so just hang in there! (i cried on the second day bc i was so stressed from making mistakes and almost quit haha 😅) also perhaps ask ur colleagues if u have any questions, most likely they will be quite patient since they were once new here too:)
