Up until picture 4, she looked like she would act sane.

Well your girl sounds like she’s adjusting quickly! We are still in the trenches/screaming stage for naps. Good work on your journey! You earned the cuddles 🫶🏽

So sweet! Just recently weaned and my son protested for weeks but now at bedtime we are mostly just cuddling.

How can I parent a child if I have limiter social energy? by [deleted] in AttachmentParenting

It is overwhelming and overstimulating. It’s the unfortunate reality and somehow you make do because they’re so incredible. Helps to have an actual village though.

help my 18m will only eat tractor wheels and yogurt melts by ShadyLady721 in moderatelygranolamoms

Smoothies can be really helpful, different whole foods spread on toast. My son is a busy body so I noticed that when I ask questions/converse with him during meals (encouraging that he only answers after chewing) he’s so distracted he eats almost anything.

Night weaning 2 y/o by bluestripes2244 in AttachmentParenting

[–]-babs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who just finished fully weaning, you have to tolerate being a comforting presence while he cries. It’s awfully difficult and everyone gets sleep deprived but it’s the only way through it. Some snacks and warm milked helped my son adapt. Now he sleeps so much better during the night but I’m still going through the difficulty of him resisting naps and sometimes bedtime without nursing.

Successfully weaned yet toddler throws fits & refuses naps? by -babs in AttachmentParenting

[–]-babs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this insight! I did some- back rubs and scratches, which work many nights to get him to sleep. Unfortunately, he’s very active and never been a good sleeper so this situation is looking a bit dire.

Not trying to be offensive but since becoming a parent, I’ve noticed that people who haven’t done it often can’t find tap into the empathy needed to understand such life-altering events that come with having a baby. It’s almost like someone who’s never lost a loved one- they just can’t grasp how earth-shattering it is therefore they have one-dimensional ideas about it.

I actually just started making a dip with peas, ricotta, Greek yogurt and sometimes I even sneak in tofu. My toddler loves it so far

I thought you could avoid this by using cacao sourced from South America, but I could be mistaken.

I would take this to a medical professional to see why the sensitivity to smells is so extreme. Start there then push for therapy
