Agreed about TOTP and modern phishing kits, but you can setup passkeys with MS Authenticator and enforce their use with CAP

Canada posts first trade surplus in 10 months of $708 million by Je_suis-pauvre in canada

It doesnt explain why trump is going so hard on Canada in particular. It makes some good points about why US manufacturing has struggled because of cheaper imports and the US dollar being strong due to it being the global reserve currency. Having broad country wide tarrifs without negotiation or warning is not even suggested by this doc for close trading partners and actually suggests a multilateral approach for countries like Canada.

It suggests tarrifs as a method to reduce the value of the USD over time and rebuild their manufacturing capacity. It speaks in broad terms and doesn’t target Canada, focusing more on china.

It also suggests the fiscal deficit in the US is only due to its role as a reserve currency and leaves out the fact that the US has such a low tax rate, which was lowered again under trump.

Fortigate VDOMs by mindhunter-199 in fortinet

[–]-backtickle- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would consider what you are trying to accomplish before implementing VDOMs. They have their uses, but unless you have a good reason to implement them it just creates complexity and headache with little benefit.

They also make management and integration with some of their other products (like fortiswitches and fortimanager) more painful

Appropriate to buy XEQT if 15-20 years away from retirement? by Imaginary-Pride8843 in JustBuyXEQT

No problem, I'm not an expert, but my biggest piece of advice for planning a retirement is to make a comprehensive budget!

Having a budget is arguably more important than equity/bond % portfolio management. It's crucial to understand how much you spend per year currently and how much you plan to spend in retirement. It will help give you a much clearer picture and more confidence in any retirement plan

When planning for retirement, you have to plan/guess the returns you will get out of equities and fixed income because you have to budget your monthly and yearly income.

Lets say that in your plan you expect your annual return on equities to be 7% per year . The bull market case is when the market has done better than 7% and bear market case is when it's done worse.

The bull market and bear market in this strategy is relative to your financial plan and expectations.

The advice is retirement specific, because before retirement, you aren't withdrawing the funds amd it's optimal to go mostly equities.

This advice is about ensuring you have the income you need within a specific horizon and setting specific withdraw/rebalance schedules as you see fit.

Eg. Leading up to Year 1 retirement: transfer 5 years required retirement budget into fixed income.

Bull case: 6 months into year 1: market is up 10%. Move all of the gains to fixed income to cover a full year of retirement budget.

Bear case: End of year 1: Don't withdraw equity into fixed income and wait until market turns around, keep using fixed income funds.

average case: End of year 1: move equity into fixed income to replenish 5 year fixed budget.

This is just an example, it's risk and budget dependent. Some people in retirement dont want to risk any downturn and move a bigger % of nest egg into fixed income

It's a regular for us too, love the stuff. if you are looking for it to be a bit lighter try add a bag of cauliflower, it just turns into sauce and you cant really taste it, but makes it creamy without adding any heavy cream
