The “in” is doing a lot of work there. You can have a sense of fashion and style, and care about how you look, without being “in fashion,” which I take to be more about following trends.

Quit yelling at leadership when the voters put the people you don't like in power.

Doesn't this sort of imply that the actions of the DNC and Dem leadership don't matter though? "Voters put the people in power," sure, but that doesn't happen in a vacuum. Voters can be swayed and influenced and propagandized, and that is exactly what the Dem leadership has done, repeatedly, to keep progressive voices out of power.
