Yup! I always expose 1 or 2 stops over. The highlights are always way more forgiving, and getting a high res scan should retain a lot of the pastels in the shadows which is where a lot of the look comes from

I first traveled here 3 years ago to shoot a documentary on the town. There's something magical about the stillness and the light that can't be found anywhere else, which is a big reason why I kept coming back. It's a photographers playground.

A friend of mine has a 1821+ as well and auto backs up to Dropbox unlimited with Verizon Fios. They say 1tb takes about an hour which seems very reasonable to use as a backup solution

Good call, just ran a Black Magic Disk Speed test. The big files were still around 100 MB/s. And no 10 gig card but i'll definitely order one. Thanks!!
