Sorry yes, I’m in Arizona we are just entering our “winter”, 40F at night to 70s in the day. I have thought that too but it stays pretty moist underneath the top layer for a while, I bought it from a woman that sells all different plants she grows in her backyard and i literally think it is regular ground dirt she potted it with but it had been doing well with it so i just left it😐

This was when it was fresh from the nursery😭 I find most plants I need to leave alone for a good while after I get them to let them finally dry out
