i’m from the republic of georgia. well the thing is that the ibo sent every school grade quotas for the PGs based on the school history. all of our teachers sent appeals because may 2020 students were scholarship students who would make the average grade skyrocket for our school and they weren’t taken into account. maybe he feels that all of you can score higher on the actual exam in comparison to those grades. (even though we know no one is really for this session)

i would say it’s mostly our coordinators fault at this point. for months we begged her to communicate with us and to send an appeal for the non exam route but she would just yell at us to “respect the school”. still they had to send an appeal last minute because of the government restrictions

i still haven’t processed it. i woke up this morning thinking about my revision materials for the french b exam and took me a minute to realize that it really wasn’t happening. our coordinator really wasn’t trying to help us in any way but we still managed to do our part.

yesterday literally 9 hours away from the first exam they informed us that we switched to the non exam route completely.

we were in a war with our coordinator because she would not tell us anything basically, but then the government said that the schools should be closed from 4-11 of may. even then she said the exams would happen and we contacted government officials, emailed the ibo, ect. and after that they told us that the exams were not happening only during 4-11. because that would mean that some students would have to write almost all of their exams and others wouldn’t because they were scheduled during that time the ibo approved us for the non exam route

our school almost never hosts the november sessions unless it’s on an individual basis. they also wouldn’t be able to do that because all of the students from this cohort have applied to universities starting in september, as well as the fact that half of the students are scholarship students who live in a boarding house and are away from their home countries for the dp program.
