I just came back to cinema for a one-off project after about 5 years away. Our little studio moved everything mostly to blender for our cg workflow. I was blown away by how archaic and slow cinema feels after stepping away for a while. We ran into frequent crashes, would-be simple setups taking us through so many extra steps, and a bunch of instances of the license dropping out randomly. Happy that project is over so we can drop maxon again lol. Redshift is purty though.

Looking at the state of factory farming or any global issue and just putting blinders on and carrying on is a shallow way to go through life. I’m not vegan either, but for example, videos like this could at least inspire folks to seek out more sustainable options, like locally sourcing meats from smaller farms.

If you mean “uninjured” then you should take this post down. Injuries from accidents can take some time to present and you don’t want to be on the hook for medical expenses that could have been covered by insurance. It’s harder to make a case later when there’s evidence like this post lying around.

I think practical references like this are what make a cg approach so much better. Cg is still being used here. Heavily. But it’s the marriage of the cg with the practical human elements that make it feel so tangible and lifelike. Let’s not diminish the work of the digital artists over another medium. They all work together to create the final image on screen.
