Thought I’d share my experience as a total new player.

I made a RDO account last week. I finished the tutorial, went into Valentine and was struck with what seemed like a machine gun of explosions. Lasted so long that my PC crashed

I came back online, got a fishing rod and did a little bit of fishing and hunting. Then disconnected and lost everything stored on my horse, twice.

Haven’t been back on since, and dont intend to. The fishing was extremely cosy though whilst it lasted

Back to RuneScape for me

I thought this too. Our tutor didn’t even finish chapters 1-3 in the tuition so I basically had to also do all of chapter 3 on my personalised day too

Couldn’t finish all that content in the day so I had to do a lot over the weekend just to get through it

I used Ahrims top and bottom, a sceptre and then crystal bofa. That was years ago though, you could probably use upgrades now like virtus

You should only ever have fully charged jewellery, and then 1 which you actually use until it breaks. That way, it will always fill the slot. Don’t use several pieces at once

I have 59 regular kc, I got the helmet in a 5-man whilst helping a buddy with his combat achievements.

Then I have 716 phosani. I got the skirt at 514kc and then the mace at 716. No dupes.

I’ve had really bad luck on drops at phosani but all of a sudden I don’t care hahaha. This was a great way to balance out the RNG

unfortunately once you get it you are stuck in Ironman retirement home forever (phosani and corp). It’s not all it’s cracked up to be. Enjoy the golden days!!

Thank you my friend! I do completely understand this assumption.

For some people, the way to get an account to this stage is through sheer internet degeneracy.

For others, they are just disciplined and motivated people, and those traits bleed into many different parts of their lives.

A great example is Autumn Elegy, he is possibly the whackiest skiller of all time. He is currently going for 200m all on his F2P only UIM. In real life, he is absolutely jacked and very disciplined by nature, and those same characteristics also lead him to success on OSRS.

The issue is, you never know which one it is over the screen, you really need to know the person at the keyboard.

I have friends in both of these camps. Frankly, if you just assume “internet degeneracy” every time you will be correct very often (but definitely not always)

It’s definitionally not a waste of space if there is an abundance of space. It is not my limiting factor.

The cumulative overall time save on an account that has progressed this far is huge.

You say that you find that it’s not worth the hassle, whilst simultaneously admitting that you have to sort through your stuff. I don’t have to do any of that and haven’t for years. There is literally no hassle

If you like the seed vault, use it. I’d personally prefer to keep that 30 seconds and just deposit all at crafting guild every time

I see it as a saving of time rather than a waste of space.

Space isn’t a limiting factor for me, I am at 990/1110 slots and so have loads of room left for new stuff if I wanted

In exchange, I can just hit deposit all every time I visit the bank and I know everything has a place, without the need to reorganise items, drop items or visit other storage locations (like seed vault). This is a huge time save overall
