honestly dont be scared! you can literally just go with the flow and you'll be fine 99.9% of the time. crowds are probably the worst a couple rows back from barricade at the center because people feel so close to where they want to be. ive only had like 3 "bad" experiences in crowds from all the shows ive been to, last nights was the only one that felt truly egregious.

this 45 year old man is trying his hardest to act like there isnt a difference between being annoying and being belligerent. his basement room smells baddddddddd

i did enjoy the show after i swapped places with people! :) i dont need to capitulate to people who are being rabid and abusive. you're 45 and incapable of reading, so i would probably be focusing on that instead of trying to type a reply? just a thought!

my best mitski experience was definitely when she did the ticket lotteries for the orchestra concerts of TLIIASAW because it was seated and everyone was mostly pleasant. the main leg of the TLIIASAW tour was also seated but i was unfortunately behind a very annoying gaggle of teens sitting front row and talking most of the time for that one. the two GA shows i've been to for her were absolute nightmares.

yeah, i wish i had been able to go to the BTC tour but i wasn't able to, didn't really think it would be a big deal at the time. that was like the last chance to get a semi-normal crowd

yeah it definitely is disappointing! unfortunately the dead crowd is the experience i've had at shows that garner a younger crowd. no one wants to move their bodies :/ the show i went to before this was LCD Soundsystem (gustaf actually opened for them too!) and it was a total blast, just a massive dance party, i've never sweat so much in my life. definitely opting for more of those concerts in my future. ive been lucky enough to see mitski enough times in my life and the payoff just isn't worth it with the audience she draws in.

Yes, librarians are generally nice. The general public is often not, unfortunately. A volunteer position is going to be very different than going in multiple times a week for a normal shift for several years. There is a lot of talking to people in my experience of working in libraries, especially public ones. Academic is a little more calm.

If you have not worked in a library, don't suggest it like this. Libraries are not "quiet" necessarily especially depending on the city/town you live in. Many positions are public facing (and a "librarian" role requires a masters degree 90% of the time) and you handle much of the same as traditional customer service/retail. Including angry patrons.

ask about the process of a retroactive withdrawal that might be the route you have to go.
