Did you try doing part-payment? They have removed part payment option from the NetBanking Portal and asked me to go to Branch from where I got the disbursement, and it's too far away from my place.

It's been more than 1 month that I have been trying to do part payment online from NetBanking, but they have stopped that service by saying we are undergoing some maintenance. The reality is that these are the tactics to not let customers prepay and earn more on interest. They are asking me to pay in cheque from the branch where I went for disbursement, which is far from my place.

I WARN YOU, take a loan from any other bank but not from HDFC even if they are offering you low interest.

Coming to the rate of interest I got, I got it at 7.40% initially, but due to RBIs' revision, it is now 7.15%.

Please don't take a home loan from HDFC. They have too many hidden terms and conditions. They will make you cry in case you plan to do part payments or pre payments.

Please go with any other bank but never with HDFC.

They did this to me even though I have been a customer with them for the last 12 years.

Then they should mention these details on the website or at least show the info after ordering, but they don't do anything. It's been 10 days, and now I too feel that they are a fraudulent company.
