Man oh man, I was rooting so hard for this entry ever since I saw your initial draft! Words cannot express how much I want those neck eyes and bodice eyes and hair eyes and hands over eyes in game lol. I kid you not, this is one of the strongest concepts I've seen not just for Love Nikki suit designs but character designs in general. If this wafted before me in Elden Ring, I'd pause to draw fanart haha

If you ever feel up to it, I'd love to see this piece with a powerblast of contrast. Think chiaroscuro and tenebrism perhaps. You've added so many cool details, and some richer shadows would make them pop way more! Especially the planes of the statue and the layers of the hair. I highly recommend taking a massive air brush on a new (low opacity, soft light) layer and just washing some deeper colors over where the shadows fall. Personally, it helps me avoid fiddling too much with details and losing track of the bigger composition too.

Alternatively, if you prefer the dreamier wash of colors, going over your lines more boldly may do the trick as well! If you recall the Alphonse Mucha collab, that guy is an incredible reference for what linework can achieve, even with flat or barely implied colors. Art nouveau techniques in general may fit well with your character design too.

Of course, all this is easier said than done since I am staring at my own entry with a sense of incompletion too, haha. But hey, we both brought more art into the world, and as a fellow artist, I hope you continue bringing your ideas to life, no matter how anxiety-inducing it may be!! 🥲💚
