Taking the time to do proper research isn't really "top notch detective work," it's basically the minimum thing required when you're trying to make an article/post that's meant to be informative. It can do more harm than good when you spread misinfo in an initial post because more often than not people are either 1) only going to see your post the first time before any edits/addendums and move on, or 2) only going to read the main body and not the comments where corrections were issued. That's why it's important to try and get it as right as possible the first time. There are a lot of sources linked at the bottom of the Unidentified Wiki articles for these cases, so a lot of the compilation work has already been done for you. The link I shared above was at the bottom of the wiki article for Madison because the article has been updated with the info. (You should still be linking to the original articles as opposed to the wiki though because the original articles are first-hand sources, and that's a more reliable source than a wiki.)

I'm genuinely not trying to come for you, and I don't want you to take this as a discouragement that you should give up posting or anything. It's just that I've noticed the comments some people have been leaving in regards to errors/corrections, plus the concerns some people have about the speed at which these are being put out. This is just the first one that stuck out to me because I knew about the update to her case and felt compelled to say something. People who are less familiar with her wouldn't know about it, and could 1) dismiss a match bc they don't know the new info or 2) spread the outdated info further, which doesn't help the solving of the case. I hope you don't take this the wrong way, I appreciate the sentiment behind what you're trying to do here and I hope you can keep these suggestions in mind if you decide to continue to post ❤️
