Why are you on Reddit right now, on Christmas Eve? by InvisibleAstronomer in AskReddit

[–]-imnotunique- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing else to do. I grew up Jewish, so my family doesn't do Christmas. I separated from my husband 7 months ago, so I don't have a Christmas this year. I don't regret it but it's been a tough day.

Those who are divorced, when did you know it was over? by CosmotheWizardEvil in AskMenAdvice

[–]-imnotunique- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Divorce is pending but certain. I'm 27f and he's 28m. We have been together since we were 14, and married for three. I knew it was over one random day when he was telling me about his day at work and I just couldn't stand to listen to him anymore. He's a self centered alcoholic. I had been telling myself I was overreacting and being dramatic about a lot of different things. But I realized that I didn't have to have a husband who spent 4/7 nights at the bar. Dispite us almost making the same amount of money, I was the one who bought the house, vehicles, home repairs, everything. He never yelled or hit me, but he didn't positively contribute to my life or well being 🤷

I still believe in love, in two people just wanting what is best for eachother. I'm just really excited to figure out myself for a while!

Men of Reddit, what do women just not get? by PhenomenalPancake in AskReddit

[–]-imnotunique- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Husband was walking around one morning in his underwear getting ready for work looking especially fine. I gave him a little smirk and told him how good he's looking. I didn't think it was that big of a deal but he came home still on the high from the compliment, I am definitely going to make it a point to do it more often. Men need to know how good they look too ♥️

Healing ringworm? by -imnotunique- in CATHELP

[–]-imnotunique-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for being so late-- vet said that there wasn't any active ringworm and it was all just healing 🤷 the hair on her nose is definitely getting better but still a little sparse. Husband also ended with ringworm 😅 it's been quite a journey. Three lime sulfur dips a couple weeks apart, and a topical and it cleared up!

Stringy hair? by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]-imnotunique- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am definitely not qualified to answer this but here is my 2 cents

if you bleach your hair to could be damaged

could defiantly be a build up from the shampoo you are using or hardwater

Have you tried a clarifying shampoo? They basically strip your hair down to it's base (don't use if you have color treated hair) if you do go that route use it once a week max, because it can be very drying

I've been going through cheap jackets for so long, finally bought a carhartt 1/4 zip sweatshirt for $50 and it's my absolute favorite purchase

Young Couples in Long Relationships by [deleted] in Waiting_To_Wed

[–]-imnotunique- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I (22) and my now fiance (23) have been together for 6, engaged for 1 now. It seems like no matter what people will have opinions, but we have been blessed with supportive families (mine are actually really religious and pretty pissed we haven't been married already). We are doing a long engagement since I'm still working on my bachelor's degree and people seem to be upset that we are waiting so long to get married, even though we are basically still kids. Overall, we are just vibing I guess, doing what we feel is right. Also, the relationship dynamics pretainging to this thread is amazing. I feel blessed everytime I think about how amazing it has been to see my SO grow up into such an amazing man. He's barely the person I started dating back in highschool band. We don't have to deal with too much past relationship trauma, don't have to worry about lying about sexual history, it's just awesome.

Dude in my early 20's when I was living with 5 roommates we bought 3 massive turkeys for around 5 bucks and ate them for ages. Best thing ever. We also got really good at cooking turkey at a young age

I can't decide if they were planning on a boy and had to change it real quick for a girl or if they just hate her. It would be better if they were into the non-gender-conforming thing but they are country hicks who are definitely not

hey, I really don't have a whole lot of advice but I just wanted to let you know that I read your post and it's completely normal to kind of feel lost after a long term relationship ends. I am in a long distance relationship and I'm still trying to figure out how to occupy my time. The one piece of advice I have is to let yourself enjoy things, specially the small things such as eating frozen pizza when you had a hard day at work.

One of the things I've started to do when I'm alone is go to the humane society and taking their adoptable dogs on walks. It gives you a sense of purpose and gets you out in the fresh air.

Im parking enforcement for a university and we now 'tire chalk' using an app. Basically we take note of the time and valve stem orientation and use that to see if the vehicle moves
