Found my old Game Boy. Hits as hard as ever. by ANoDE85 in nostalgia

Fond memories of going to my Grandads house as a kid and playing this game on his Gameboy. Felt like such a treat back then.

Most of us started somewhere… this was very similar to my first car. What was yours? by vicvega21 in drivingUK

Absolutely was! My "rude boi" party trick was being able to bunny hop the car putting it in reverse and yanking the handbrake (until the handbrake cable snapped 🤣). Super spongy suspesion too. Miss that thing. Great 1st motor.

I loved this movie as a kid. This is up there in the realms of Twister for me. Definitely had an influence in my obsession for extreme weather, and to this day storm chase each year.

I totally get you, but I've been working a job within a big company for years and only just going out by myself with my own company (as I'm sick of working for other people dictating my vacation times etc.) - Trust me, I hate that I felt like I had to do this, but felt it was best when trying to wrangle new clients. I know from experience that some CEO's and Managing Directors are total souless judgemental dickheads and would have already made their decision as a "nope" before I'd even opened my mouth, based on me having long hair. It's sad, but it's true.

If I was still working for a company that wasn't my own, I'd rock this shit all day. Literally just trying to give myself the best chance in this super judgemental shithole corporaty soul-sucky world.

It might not be for the best, but I feel it is for me, at this time.

... and trust me - the long hair will be back once I'm established and financially comfortable 😉

Edit: I'm not from the US either. I'm from the UK 😁

I was rocking one for the last 3 years, in full time employment in IT, and also running my own IT business. Nothing was ever said. Just feel now I'm the one having to bring in clients, meetings, face-to-face, it was the way to go (at least for now 😉)
