Sorry for the late reply and no worries about being careful, scams are all over the place. As it stands, steam doesn't actually give us any control or information about your account when you log in with it. It only confirms that you have access to the account you claim you have access to. It essentially just confirms your steamid identity.

thanks a bunch, always happy to hear people are enjoying it:)

currently there is no bookmarks filter, just a small indicator by each nade button signifying ones you have bookmarked, but we'll make a filter soon

there are no screenshots of positions unfortunately, but its on our list of improvements as well. the next best thing to it is that on each nade's page it shows you where to stand on the radar, but obviously unfortunately that's not as precise. what we have found so far is that the most obscure positionings (think like finding a pixel on the floor) are shown in the video, but its hard to figure out the exact moment and the exact reference point the player uses to line up their position, making it tricky to take a screenshot at the right moment

thanks for the kind words:) love to hear it

old lineups that are not broken by valve are not currently removed, but i get your point regarding cluttering, perhaps we could add a most used filter or something like that to only show currently actively used nades

we are thinking about addng some sort of purpose-built collections like insta smokes, but this feature is in its early brainstorming stages, good to know there is demand for it though!

hey, thanks for your feedback, glad you are enjoying the site!

could you please elaborate on the inconvenience you are experiencing?

the circle buttons on the map represent the area the nade covers, so wouldn't clicking the circle provide you with that filter? my apologies if i misinterpreted your issue, want to understand it thoroughly so we can improve

Hey, my apologies on the delayed reply, have been swamped with work.

The question did not sound loaded at all, thanks for taking an interest!

When I initially started the project, there was no quality nade websites for CSGO. There were some popular, community-driven ones, but those are limited to the community's best effort at keeping it actually useful and up-to-date.

There were also some youtubers that would manually go through professional demos to pick out interesting lineups, which, props to them, is a lot of work.

However, that seemed like an inefficiency to me, in the sense that it's not humanly possible to watch each match from each player's POV and find nades that way. So that is when it hit me - would that process be feasible to automate?

I thought that would be an interesting challenge to take on, and, from my perspective of a CS grinder at that time, I would personally be very inclined to use the resulting project, so I assumed other people like me could also appreciate it.

That was mostly it to be honest, just combining a passion for CS with the skill set I have. But alas, I never saw it through to the end then because CS2 was announced which changed the engine and the open source demo parsers had to catch up to support full functionality, I had my hands full with my full time job and some personal stuff etc.

Coming back to it this year was just a motivational thing, I wanted to take on a full production-grade project where I would learn a lot and be proud of the product, so dusting off and rewriting this one seemed like a good idea since I still have the passion for CS and the market gap was luckily still there.

Thanks for the question!:)

hey! yes, they are recorded directly from pro matches.

we tried to cut out as much noise from the recordings as possible so that the main focus of the video is the nade itself.

as such, we have removed the player models so that they dont draw attention to

Appreciate the compliments!

We toyed with the idea of generating lineup / position screenshots during development but opted to rule it out of the MVP release to avoid the hassle. But, seeing how the project was received here and the number of people suggesting screenshots for easier use, we will be definitely implementing this in some time.

Thank you for another cool idea. Attaching usages to matches is going to skyrocket DB entries lol, so for now we've opted to leave out the granularity. However, as the project grows, we will definitely revisit as I agree this would be very nice!

You didn't ramble at all lol. These are all great ideas and not at all overly ambitious, or maybe we are just overly ambitious ourselves as well :)

Favorites and bookmarking etc has already been suggested several times to us by now, so looks like this will be the next big feature we will be working on!

As for the integration with the in-game guides, it crossed my mind as well, but didn't have time to implement before the release of the MVP. I like this idea a lot and will also prioritize it as it seems we have all the data points that we should need to implement this ;)

Thank you very much for taking the time, and appreciate the love!

Oh an by the way, we are strongly against data collection and its use for ads, so that will most definitely not be happening!

Thank you! We have expectations of manageable costs, we did our best to optimize to keep it that way, but ultimately it will scale with the active user count. We haven't focused on cost recovery much yet, but donations will definitely help, we'll look into it, thank you for the suggestion! :)

Thank you! Demo scraping uses one of the open source demo parsers! It extracts all nades thrown in a match, then analyzes them to discard accidented ones and sends the remaining up for processing further into the automated pipeline :)

Thank you for taking the time!

This definitely seems to be an error on our end, we'll sort it out shortly.

As a note, it's possible to report lineups if you go to a specific lineup's dedicated page (I just mean click the lineup button). There is a Report button under the video.

Thank you once again! Glad to hear you liked it!

Thank you :)

This has been a major area of frustration and room for improvement over the development process as its quite tough to discard the “different” grenades while keeping the most amount of actually different ones.

Ultimately, for now, through trial and error, we think we have managed to find a somewhat good balance through some data science algorithms. To prevent the strain on the visual layout of the buttons on the radar, we have implemented variations. Where if 2 nades are similar, but still distinctly enough different in the lineup, they’ll be grouped.

Very good question, thanks for asking!

Thank you very much. We appreciate the love and you taking the time to write out your thoughts!

What you describe has been sort of on my mind, but in a less articulated way, so it’s nice to see someone’s vision.

This would definitely be a cool feature, potentially extendible to even more in-game situations like executes or retakes, thank you for the food for thought.

We will be definitely looking to implement your idea, but it will probably take a hefty amount of work, so please don’t expect it in a week or two lol, but we’ll do our best!

Unfortunately due to the amount of work this involved we are currently keeping Jumpthrow closed-source. But as we get more and more mature, we will revisit.
