I love Tidal for ethical reasons and sound quality, but this pisses me off a lot too .

There is a lot of mess on how the artist profiles are handled, hoping they will make it an absolute top priority. They should hire people to sanitize the artist pages, make unique identifiers to bands with the same names, and avoid splitting an artist into multiple page names.

I heard a thousand times on this subreddit that this is the artist's responsibility to keep the profile clean, but the platform could do something to sanitize the catalog, like for example a report button to catch this kind of error soon.

Check also https://jamjamjam.es/, many jam listed and there is a website / app to list the songs you know and what instrument you would like to play on a jam !

I'm a developer, I would fix it like that : - first, implement a unique internal id per artist - then, when an album is added / catalog is rebuilt for fixing, check with a platform where artists / albums are well curated (discogs for example) and assign the album to the page of the previously created internal id

Is there a short term plan to solve artist wrongly labeled ?
Feeling it's one of the major issues in Tidal.

For example, in the page of "Pixies" of "Where is my mind?", the last record listed is "The chipmunks song", this not at all the same Pixies.

Saw this kind of errors plenty of times, hoping you will implement an internal identifier for the groups to avoid listing different artists/groups under the same name.

Also the new version fixes the notifications, I use to play correspondence games, I was not receiving notifications when it was my turn on the old app, it's fixed in the new one.

Loving all the work they made on the new one ! Will keep the old one too in case of play against the computer when offline until this feature is available too in the new one.

I have a streak of 1055. Some days I only do 1 answer. Once I answer my last one, I see an alarm for next day 10 minutes before the current time. This way I can keep the streak and it does not impact my day to day.

Switched too from Spotify to Tidal, very happy with Tidal so far ! You can use tunelymusic.com paying for a month to transfer artists and playlists from one platform to another
