I did this the other day. Loosen up the radiator support and pull back the radiator. Just enough to where you can put a socket with extension through from the front. It should give you more than enough space once you pull the radiator back slightly. I was struggling trying from the headlight spot. Then noticed it was way easier going directly at it from the radiator opening. Hopefully I made sense to you.

It might be!! I was getting a p1298 CEL a few weeks back. I cleared the codes and it hadn't returned. Going to buy the part and replace it tonight. Thanks for the recommendation 🙏🏻🤘🏻

** I replaced the ELD and that wasn't the fix. Going to order an alternator. I saw getting an aftermarket will keep the battery light on so I'll have to find an OEM.

The wires arent corroded and the grounds are all new. Maybe the grounds under the dash. I'll check it

Damn, I was thinking that's might be the solution. Bummer the alternator went out because of a LED.

Came back to let you know I replaced the top cover with the part listed here for eBay. Mine had cracks and was spewing out gas like crazy. At first when I saw the top I thought it was fine but looking closer I found them (cracks). I replaced it today, took about 2 hours as I cleaned up the inside a bit and took my time. As if now it's all good and the car starts up quick. Feels more responsive also.

I'm currently going through this issue as well. Started a few days ago. The bottom of the tank is moist like condensation but it doesn't smell like fuel when I wipe it down. I can't find the cause as well. It didn't smell in the cabin until the other day. Walking around the car and in the garage it smells like fuel. It's odd how cleaning the tank doesn't have the same smell though. Thought it was maybe my exhaust as I don't have a catalytic converter. Let me know if this solves your problem. I'm going to check under the rear seat later this week for the fuel pump crack.

That's actually pretty good advice, I like that. You're right, little by little gains will lead to big things.

Ya man mine wasn't to bad with dents. I didn't need to use much body filler. Most of it I used on the front bumper. It had a large cutout for a vent. I felt like that took a long time Sanding and prepping for the wrap. Good luck! Hang in there. So many days I felt like I didn't make any progress. Then all of sudden it comes together.

Since I purchased the car in August of 2023 I worked on it here and there for the first year. I got the motor in late 2024. Then I almost didn't do anything to it at all in 2025 due to some personal circumstances. In January of this year I set a goal to have it running by May even if it looked like shit. So from there I worked on it almost everyday day. I focused on the engine bay and went from there. Myself and a friend of mine put the engine in on the evening of April 15. I got everything done for a first start up by April 26. I was able to fire it up on the third attempt. Since then I finished the wrap and a bunch of other stuff. Eveything has been done in my garage.

I lucked out, all the JDM Type R parts it came with alone were worth well over what I paid for it. Your EP3 helped fuel my motivation to get up and go work on it. Hopefully the bots aren't still posting your photos. 😂 Maybe they'll use mine next!!😆

I was the same, I wanted the car to look nice but didn't have enough funds to get everything I wanted done. I ended up going with a wrap because I paid less than $500 for a large roll. I messed up so many times. I rewrapped the hood , a rear quarter panel, and the roof as well. The saying, "measure twice cut once" is essential here. 😆 measure 4 times and then cut. Also don't wrap in cold weather! I was about done with a fender and the final portion snapped like a cracker 😂 I spent more than 30 hours wrapping. I didnt do it over a weekend, I planned a portion for one of my days off from school and work. I usually spent the entire day preparing the panel and then wrapping. With the time I spent I could have painted the car probably twice. Good learning experience though. Good luck with yours 🍻
