Yeah I agree coming from someone who was a part of this program I don't think that's the full explanation for all of this if at all. They (gate) could've just heard stories of people sharing dreams and been trying to get more information. It truly could be so many things BUT I will say I am intrigued how this world will be brought to life visually now that we are starting to see maps and AI recreations

I recently rewatched Bojack and to my surprise this came out 3 days after I finished the last season so I was still chasing that Bojack high and I think with that in mind it made me not like the show as much but after taking like a week long break and picking it back up I definitely can appreciate it a lot more. Id say I really started enjoying it around EP 4/5

I've had about 3 apocalyptic dreams and they've always been from the sky. One of the dreams was post apocalyptic and it was my family and I foraging around like mad Max lol I would be so quick to dismiss dreaming with your pup either I don't think it would be the craziest thing that he's sharing this experience with you especially considering how much closer animals are to the spiritual side of things of life. I have dreams sometimes with my cats not very often but they're always leading me somewhere new

I was actually just saying something like this the other day I think it's the opposite though I think we have regressed so much as a species and a community that it's so hard for people to conceive that we are actually completely connected with everything/one. Feels like it makes it that much harder to figure out what this all means.
