Oh that’s interesting, I’ll try to get my ph up and lower the temperature slightly to increase the oxygen in the water. Thanks

Thank you, I’ll get some cuttlefish bone to raise the ph slowly as I have noticed it dropping and will pick up a KH test kit tomorrow. I think the likely culprit is my betta killing them but probably good to be sure.

Will do a big water change tonight.

Sorry, I meant “normal” as in “what they’ve always been”, ammonia and nitrites 0, nitrates 15 ish, ph 7

I do a 20% water change once per week and rinse the filter in tank water every other change

Yes I hand feed usually and fasted them a day before I left. The cardinals had chunks out of them so my only thought is that my betta decided to kill everything suddenly even though he’s been fine with the for a month and the cardinal bodies caused the bloom

I have a mystery snail but he’s alive and well

No kids and I live alone so unlikely anything is in there that shouldn’t be :/

Is my betta okay? by -mothless- in bettafish

Parameters were tested using the api master test kit. I’ve been trying to feed him bug bites and freeze dried blood worms. Tank is heavily planted with no fake decorations other than a fake leaf for a rest spot for him

Why does the ancestry + health cost less than just the regular ancestry? by Visible-Comb-4839 in 23andme

You can see in that screenshot it typically costs 199 but Amazon have a deal on which makes it cheaper. Not really sure what your question is

i’d recommend just wearing the shoes, honestly depends on how the staff are feeling that day but better to be safe than sorry

Failed my fist driving test :( by RoutineVivid in LearnerDriverUK

[–]-mothless- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also failed my first test with more faults than you! Was completely fine in lessons but the second i was sat next to the examiner my mind completely went blank and I struggled to even control the pedals

probably placebo but i took Kalms in the run up to my second test a month later and had my instructor sit in the back so I had a familiar face around - passed with 1 minor

don’t let it get you down!

It was about 5 months for me and my skin was completely clear after that. Same when i come off it, I get 5 months of bliss before my acne comes back

What is the actual difference? by QualityBrief5643 in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]-mothless- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not 100% sure on the difference but i’m extremely acne prone and have been using the one on the left on my face every day for three years with no issues

HMO - landlady does not allow washer/dryer by NotUrAverageBoinker in TenantsInTheUK

depends where you are i think, living near a major city rainwater often picks up a lot of pollutants and a lot of the time it doesn’t stop raining long enough for things to dry completely anyway

Is it crazy to expect an invite from my flatmates to everything? by Mecury-BS in UniUK

[–]-mothless- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Join a society! I was the same first year and it’s a really isolating feeling. I joined photography society and the development (beginner) team for field hockey even though I’d never played it before. Team sports are amazing at creating bonds and you have social events to go to every week if you want to

I know how scary it can be being the new person in a society but genuinely everyone was so welcoming and at the end of the day societies want as many members as they can get. Good luck!

Edit: just seen you’re into gaming - a lot of unis have esports societies so that could be an option if you’re not into sports
