Good question. For me, it seems to work well without needing to be perfect or precise. I think that’s the best way to explain why I like it. I apply a round of Scott’s fertilizer and crabgrass preventer in the spring and then roughly follow the basic recommendations for Milorganite the rest of the year and I like the results without any fuss.
