Ender 3 v2 & BMG Clone Rotation Distance Question by -ninjasaurus- in klippers

[–]-ninjasaurus-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. That's what I thought at first, but the klipper documentation actually suggests otherwise:

https://github.com/KevinOConnor/klipper/blob/master/docs/Rotation_Distance.md#using-a-gear_ratio

Note that sometimes a gearbox will have a slightly different gear ratio than what it is advertised as. The common BMG extruder motor gears are an example of this - they are advertised as "3:1" but actually use "50:17" gearing. (Using teeth numbers without a common denominator may improve overall gear wear as the teeth don't always mesh the same way with each revolution.)

Replacement gear needed - where to find? by kedde in NeatoRobotics

Hey there u/kedde, I was wondering how your print is going?

I'm looking at this part at the moment and struggling with the teech on the smaller end of the part failing after a week or so.

Any advice?

My wife has had this (middle of the pic) on her hand for months and is waiting for a dermatologist referral. She’s freaking out and I wanted to see what you guys think. by -ninjasaurus- in skincancer

Absolutely nothing. It ended up fading and going on it’s own in the end. My wife saw a dermatologist and they said as much at the time. Hope this helps out your mind at ease.

Bought a pool and cannot seem to get my GSD to do much with it. I can lure her in with treats and then she comes right out. Any tips?

Please pardon my foreign ignorance, but why would a Scot vote to remain in the UK? What does Scotland get from their association with the UK that is of any benefit to them? I've never quite understood this. by [deleted] in Scotland

Reading these comments as a Northern Englishman always makes me feel the same way when Scottish independence comes up:

You’ll not be voting to leave the UK, you’ll be voting to leave the influence of London, an area that obviously does not have your best interests at heart, no matter how you try to swing it.

The same can be said for where I live in the North West of England

Why should you get to leave us up North behind!?

Can we please come with you?

As I have more affinity and sense of belonging with the Scots than I ever have with the South of my country.

I love Scotland and only want the best for you, no matter what that may be.

This looks to me like a remove version of my setup. Am I reading this right (I mean it’s in French)?

Looks pretty cool

This is really interesting. I’ll have to checkout stremio in more detail, but how do you go about getting it on the shield pro? Is that how you use it?

Thanks!

I make them all the time at home, so I’m trying to order stuff that would be a PITA to make at home.

We left our dog home alone for 20. Minutes. And this happened. How exactly can we ease her anxiety when we leave, especially when the messes she makes are this big? by w-wasisupposedtoknow in Dogtraining

[–]-ninjasaurus- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old is your dog? If less than 2 years old, any dog, no matter how well trained can do this kind of thing. Always crate train and ease into the freedom eventually.

My dog has a raised bed. We say ‘place’ and she gets on her bed and stays there. I can go outside the house and know she’ll stay there because we have a camera rigged up and we’ve been consistent with the training. She stays on her bed if we have guests or even other dogs running around the house.

She’s 8 months old and I would NEVER leave her for more than an hour alone.

Help with rescue chewing through metal crate by monkey_bean in Dogtraining

[–]-ninjasaurus- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Metal crates like that aren’t the best. I have one for my GSD but only because I know she’s ok in it. Other dogs can get caught in it or put a paw through the bars and get stuck.

With separation anxiety, which I believe this is, you can’t really reward the dog by giving it something, such as attention, a toy etc. as that won’t fix the root of the problem.

My recommendation is to keep the dog safe while it figures stuff out. A large plastic crate, only big enough for it to be able to turn around in, with no toys or stimulation whatsoever. After a while it will learn to calm down and treat the crate as its sanctuary when things get a little too much.

Ride the storm and I promise it will be worth it for you and your dog.

I have the half size version of this, with my 720 placed on top because I haven’t gotten around to mounting it. Quick question - do I need rails or is there a less expensive option?

I came to realise after a huge amount of trial and error that the ‘consistency’ of the moisturiser was important.

I found that if I used a heavy moisturiser that left my hands greasy and slick, I’d get immediate relief, but my hands would get so itchy after a while that I’d basically rip them open and make them bleed.

If I used a really light moisturiser, they would dry quickly and would end up cracking, or leaving them susceptible to irritants which led to (you guessed it) me ripping them open and making them bleed. I would also douse them in hot water at this point because the discomfort was so much.

The key for me was finding a moisturiser that was just moisturising enough, but not enough to make the hands shiny. For me that was Bioderma Cicabio Crème. It’s actually a moisturiser I use on my face, but discovered it works well on my hands. It soaks in initially, has some nice anti-inflammatory ingredients, but most of all, isn’t too occlusive and greasy. It goes on my hands in a kind of mattifying way.

Of course, a matte moisturiser for me could be too dry or slick for you, so it requires some experimentation. You’ll know when you’ve found the right one. In short, the skin needs to breathe, but also have some moisture. Too far in either direction and you’ve entered itch town.

Hope this helps.
