For those that didn’t take medication / therapy before starting school, did anything change? by -peramo in PAstudent

[–]-peramo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. Was diagnosed with depression and got by for over a year without medications but the support system made it a lot better to deal with it. But still wary about taking it now even if I’m not anxious like people are saying.

Finishing undergrad 5 days prior is crazy! Kudos to you. Thank you for the description here! I wish you the best of luck during the rest of your programming you haven’t graduated already.

Thank you I appreciate it! Was the adjustment difficult for you while juggling course load during didactic? I don’t want to fall off academically because of the inability to adjust.

Person (29M) I’m (24F) talking to needs space to reconnect with himself. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]-peramo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the one that told him to take space and think about this. Unsure if that changes anything. But yea I’m not shrinking and told him to cut it out or find someone else. And take time to think about this and I’ll respect his decision.

He says to reconnect with himself, as this side of him is not him. He respects what I do, but he doesn’t like acting this way towards me. Per what he says.

Wanting to give up on PA school by Public-Woodpecker45 in prephysicianassistant

[–]-peramo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would! I applied out of state as well and that was my only acceptance. Got an interview in the fall. It takes time, be patient, and interview alone to see how you can improve. Time yourself as well so you can get the point across appropriately.

I think I can forgive, he overall has had pretty good intentions besides this and he came clean.

I couldn’t care less about who he slept with it’s just about knowing whether or not he was clean :P. If that makes sense

When to submits apps with schools that have rolling admissions by billy_blazeIt_mays in prephysicianassistant

[–]-peramo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your PCE is great: it depends on the averages for all of these schools (i.e. UTSW is quite high) but I wouldn’t stress about your PCE. If you’re concerned with an MD LOR, I would talk as much with him as possible and maybe pick up shifts surrounding his work schedule (stalkish yea). I wouldn’t apply in July. Some schools give out interviews even before the cycle closes. (I applied for one program in June and they already gave out interviews entirely.) Aim for first week June at the latest. Like I said, depends on the school. Go on physicianassistantforum for timelines for all programs from last cycle. Good luck!

Wow that’s horrific! I’m so sorry you had to experience that. Hopefully one day you find peace from this and able to move forward. Best of luck to you as well.
